In ihrer Pr\u00e4sentation zeigte Bundesr\u00e4tin Leuthard auf, dass die Schweiz bei vielen Zielen, z.B. zu Gesundheit, Bildung, Energie, Besch\u00e4ftigung, Infrastruktur und Innovation, gut auf Kurs ist. Sie nannte aber auch Bereiche, in denen die Schweiz nach wie vor Handlungsbedarf hat, etwa im Umgang mit dem nicht-nachhaltigen Ressourcenverbrauch aufgrund des Konsumverhaltens im Inland und die Produktionsbedingungen f\u00fcr in die Schweiz importierte G\u00fcter.<\/p>\n

Anhand der Pr\u00e4sentation konkreter Massnahmen, welche die Schweiz bereits ergriffen hat, rief sie die Staatengemeinschaft dazu auf, das Engagement weiter zu erh\u00f6hen, um die Klimaerw\u00e4rmung zu drosseln sowie negative Effekte der wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung auf die Umwelt einzud\u00e4mmen.<\/p>\n

Zum Pariser Klimaabkommen<\/strong><\/p>\n

In der Generaldebatte forderte sie alle Parteien des Pariser Klimaabkommens dazu auf, ihre zugesagten nationalen Beitr\u00e4ge zu leisten, um die Klimaerw\u00e4rmung unter 2 Grad Celsius zu senken und dadurch das Erreichen der Nachhaltigkeitsziele zu beg\u00fcnstigen. Bundesr\u00e4tin Leuthard hob daher hervor, dass es f\u00fcr die Operationalisierung des Pariser Klimaabkommens wichtig sei, dass 2018 ein robustes \u201eRule Book\u201c verabschiedet werde.<\/p>\n

Der Klimakonferenz in Katowice, Polen, komme diesbez\u00fcglich eine bedeutende Rolle zu. Bundesr\u00e4tin Leuthard begr\u00fcsste \u00fcberdies die erfolgreich abgeschlossenen Verhandlungen zu einem \u201eGlobal Compact for Migration\u201c.<\/p>\n

Lieferketten f\u00fcr Nahrungmittel<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bundesr\u00e4tin Leuthard nutzte ihre Pr\u00e4senz am HLPF in New York, um die Schweiz an verschiedenen ministeriellen Veranstaltungen zu vertreten sowie bilaterale Gespr\u00e4che mit hochrangigen VertreterInnen anderer Regierungen und der UNO zu f\u00fchren. An einem von der Schweiz und S\u00fcdafrika durchgef\u00fchrten Anlass zum Thema Nachhaltigkeit von Konsum und Produktion (SDG 12) hielt sie fest, dass es eines noch gr\u00f6sseren gemeinsamen Efforts aller lokaler und internationaler Akteure bed\u00fcrfe, um Lieferketten f\u00fcr Nahrungsmittel umwelt- und sozialvertr\u00e4glich zu gestalten.<\/em><\/p>\n

Bundesr\u00e4tin Leuthard nahm \u00fcberdies an einer von Schweden durchgef\u00fchrten Veranstaltung teil, bei der es insbesondere um die Frage ging, wie mittel- und langfristig mit der Thematik Chemikalien und Abfall umgegangen werden soll.<\/p>\n

An anderen Veranstaltungen, z.B. zum Umgang mit Wasserknappheit (SDG 6) oder zur Rolle von Unternehmen bei der Umsetzung der SDGs, rief sie dazu auf, weltweit Marktbedingungen zu f\u00f6rdern, die Investitionen privater und institutioneller Anleger in die nachhaltige Entwicklung beg\u00fcnstigen.<\/p>\n

Ausserdem traf Bundesr\u00e4tin Leuthard MinisterInnen von Finnland, Korea, \u00c4gypten und Andorra und tauschte sich mit der stellvertretenden Generalsekret\u00e4rin Amina J. Mohammed sowie weiteren hochrangigen UNO-VertreterInnen, unter anderem den Exekutivdirektor der UNEP Erik Solheim, \u00fcber aktuelle politische Herausforderungen auf multilateraler Ebene und insbesondere auch die globale und nationale Umsetzung der Agenda 2030 aus.<\/p>\n
