Gewinner des Innovationspreises \u201eBiocomposite of the Year 2019\u201c zeigen die erstaunliche Vielseitigkeit kommerziell verf\u00fcgbarer Biokomposite:\u00a0Das Rennen machte Golden Compound aus Deutschland mit ihren zertifiziert heimkompostierbaren Kaffeekapseln. Zweiter wurde KNN Cellulose aus den Niederlanden mit ihren Biokomposit-Granulaten aus recyceltem Toilettenpapier.<\/p>\n

Bcomp aus der Schweiz wurden Dritter mit powerRibs\u2122, einem Verbundwerkstoff aus Naturfasern f\u00fcr Hochleistungsanwendungen im Leichtbau.<\/p>\n

Mit den neuesten Erkenntnissen \u00fcber Verbundwerkstoffe aus Naturfasern hat das Schweizer Unternehmen Bcomp eigene Leichtbau-L\u00f6sungen f\u00fcr Hochleistungsanwendungen entwickelt. Die powerRibs\u2122-Technologie ist von den d\u00fcnnen Adern in Bl\u00e4ttern inspiriert, wodurch das Verst\u00e4rkungsnetz maximale Steifigkeit bei minimalem Gewicht erreicht. So k\u00f6nnen Naturfasern die Leistung von Kohlefasern in einer Motorsportkarosserie erreichen und diese sogar ersetzen. Das Ergebnis ist ein um 75 % geringerer CO2-Fu\u00dfabdruck, 30 % niedrigere Kosten und eine verbesserte Produktsicherheit ohne giftigen Staub und scharfes Splittern sowie praktikable End-of-Life-Optionen. Guten Zeiten f\u00fcr Biokomposite<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nie zuvor war die Nachfrage nach Alternativen zu klassischen Kunststoffprodukten gr\u00f6\u00dfer als heute. Bis zu 80 % der Kunststoffe k\u00f6nnen bereits durch biogene F\u00fcllstoffe wie Holzmehl und Kork oder durch Naturfasern zur Verst\u00e4rkung ersetzt werden. Inzwischen sind Biokomposite f\u00fcr fast jede Anwendung erh\u00e4ltlich: Verpackungen, Konsumg\u00fcter, Spielzeug, Griffe, Schuhe, Fassaden- und Terrassenelemente, B\u00f6den, Autoteile und sogar Mobiliar. Die in diesem Jahr nominierten Unternehmen gaben einen guten \u00dcberblick \u00fcber die wachsenden Anwendungsfelder f\u00fcr Biokomposite: Automobil, Verpackung, Konsumg\u00fcter, Verkleidungen, Musikinstrumente sowie Fassadenelemente.<\/p>\n

Bereits zum siebten Mal in Folge wurde der Innovationspreis „Biocomposite of the Year“ an Produzenten und Entwickler von innovativen und neuen Anwendungen f\u00fcr Biokomposite vergeben. Rahmen f\u00fcr die Verleihung war die weltgr\u00f6\u00dfte Konferenz zu Biokompositen: Die 8th<\/sup> Biocomposites Conference Cologne\u201c (www.biocompositescc.com<\/a>).
