Das Elektroflugzeug soll in der Leichtaviatik vorwiegend zur Grundausbildung von Piloten eingesetzt werden \u2013 und markiert so einen wichtigen Schritt hin zu einer umweltfreundlicheren Luftfahrt. Mit dem Projekt Pipistrel Velis Electro konnten zudem wichtige Erfahrungen und Erkenntnisse f\u00fcr die Zulassung emissionsarmer Flugzeuge mit umweltfreundlichem Antrieb gewonnen werden. Dank des in der Schweiz stationierten Elektromotorflugzeugs konnte das BAZL zusammen mit den Luftfahrtbeh\u00f6rden von Frankreich und Slowenien sowie dem Hersteller Pipistrel auf wichtige Daten eines Testflugprogramms unter EASA-Flugkonditionen zur\u00fcckgreifen. Die Zertifizierung konnte so in weniger als drei Jahren abgeschlossen werden. Mit diesem Projekt haben die EASA und das BAZL nicht nur viel Know-how \u00fcber Elektroflugzeuge gesammelt, sondern auch die Basis gelegt f\u00fcr die Zertifizierung emissionsarmer Flugzeuge mit umweltfreundlichem Antrieb.<\/p>\n

Davon profitieren Klima und Bev\u00f6lkerung, sinkt mit dem Einsatz von Elektroflugzeugen doch auch die L\u00e4rmbelastung in der Leichtaviatik erheblich.<\/p>\n

\u00dcberzeugende Technik<\/strong><\/p>\n

Das Elektroflugzeug Pipistrel Velis Electro geh\u00f6rt der Flugzeugkategorie Light Sport Aircraft (LSA) an und verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber einen Elektromotor E-811. Dieser leistet 57,6 Kilowatt (78 PS) beim Start f\u00fcr eine Dauer von maximal 90 Sekunden, die Reiseleistung ist auf 49,2 kW (67 PS) begrenzt. Die beiden Antriebsbatterien mit einer Nennspannung von 345 Volt haben eine Kapazit\u00e4t von jeweils 11 Kilowattstunden. Gem\u00e4ss Herstellerangaben ist eine Flugzeit von 50 Minuten plus Reserve von 10 Minuten m\u00f6glich. Die Pipistrel Velis Electro soll insbesondere in der Grundausbildung von Piloten zum Einsatz kommen. Inhaber einer Privatpilotenlizenz k\u00f6nnen w\u00e4hrend 5 Fl\u00fcgen eine Einweisung absolvieren.<\/p>\n

Inzwischen EASA-zertifiziert\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mitte Mai 2020 erteilte die EASA die Zulassung des Elektromotors, wenig sp\u00e4ter f\u00fcr das Flugzeug und letzte Woche erfolgte der Jungfernflug: Dahinter stecken aufwendige Arbeiten. Denn bevor die Pipistrel Velis Electro als weltweit erstes Elektroflugzeug eine Musterzulassung erhielt, mussten die Bedingungen f\u00fcr Betrieb, Wartung sowie Ausbildung von Piloten und Personal von Grund auf definiert und spezifiziert werden. Diese waren im bislang geltenden EASA-Zertifizierungsrahmen nicht enthalten. Das BAZL hat bei der Entwicklung dieser neuen Zulassungsbedingungen federf\u00fchrend mitgewirkt.<\/p>\n
