Ab Juni 2021 bringt der P\u00f6stler der Baselbieter Gemeinde Reinach nicht nur Briefe und Pakete. Werktags holt er zudem leere Kunststoffflaschen und Getr\u00e4nkekartons ab, die die Hausbewohner im \u00abRecycling-Sack\u00bb bei den Briefk\u00e4sten deponieren. Der 35 Liter Recycling-Sack ist bei der Gemeinde f\u00fcr 1.80 Franken erh\u00e4ltlich. Die P\u00f6stler transportieren die eingesammelten S\u00e4cke zur Reinacher Poststelle, von wo aus sie in ein spezialisiertes Sortierwerk der M\u00fcller Recycling AG in Frauenfeld gebracht werden. Mit dieser cleveren Logistik entfallen zus\u00e4tzliche un\u00f6kologische Lastwagentransporte, denn die Kunststoffe reisen bis ins Sortierwerk in einem Gebinde, welches sowieso ins Logistikzentrum der Post zur\u00fcckgebracht werden m\u00fcsste, wie\u00a0die auf Kreislaufwirtschaft spezialisierte Unternehmung\u00a0Redilo<\/a>\u00a0schreibt. Hinter dem Pionierprojekt stehen \u00abrealCYCLE\u00bb<\/a> von Redilo und der Migros-Pionierfonds, durch den Pilot erm\u00f6glicht wird. \u00abDieses Pilotprojekt zeigt exemplarisch, wie einfach die Kunststoffkreislaufwirtschaft von morgen funktionieren kann\u00bb, sagt Corinne Gr\u00e4ssle, Projektleiterin des Migros-Pionierfonds. \u00abDadurch wird die Gesellschaft unabh\u00e4ngiger von immer knapper werdenden Rohstoffen.\u00bb<\/p>\n

Aus Recyclingkunststoff entstehen neue Produkte<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Plastikflaschen f\u00fcr Shampoo, Reinigungsmittel und dergleichen mehr sind f\u00fcr das Recycling optimal: Der hochwertige Wertstoff bestehe meist aus nur einem Kunststoff, was f\u00fcr das Recycling wichtig sei, betont Melanie Haupt, Co-Projektleiterin von \u00abrealCYCLE\u00bb und Dozentin f\u00fcr Kreislaufwirtschaft an der ETH Z\u00fcrich.<\/p>\n

Die Initianten betonen, dass der R\u00fccklauf von Kunststoffflaschen ins Recycling durch das Pilotprojekt erleichtert und derjenige von Getr\u00e4nkekartons \u00fcberhaupt erst m\u00f6glich wird. Das Gemisch aus den gesammelten Kunststoffflaschen und Getr\u00e4nkekartons sortiert ein Unternehmen in Frauenfeld und bereitet es f\u00fcr das Recycling auf. Das sortierte Kunststoffmaterial wird anschliessend in der Schweiz zerkleinert, gewaschen und zu Regranulat verarbeitet: Daraus entstehen letztlich wieder neue Kunststoffprodukte.<\/p>\n

Im Reinacher Pilotprojekt werden nur Kunststoffflaschen und Getr\u00e4nkekartons gesammelt, aber keine weiteren Kunststoffverpackungen wie etwa Joghurtbecher oder Folien. \u00abSo k\u00f6nnen wir sicherstellen, dass die gesammelten Kunststoffe auch in der Schweiz rezykliert werden\u00bb, sagt Co-Projektleiterin Haupt. Sie besch\u00e4ftigt sich in der Forschung seit vielen Jahren mit der Analyse der Abfallstr\u00f6me und den M\u00f6glichkeiten des Kunststoff-Recyclings. F\u00fcr Getr\u00e4nkekartons fehle derzeit eine Recyclinganlage in der Schweiz, weshalb sie heute in Deutschland und Frankreich rezykliert w\u00fcrden. W\u00e4hrend die Kartonfaser f\u00fcr Wellkarton eingesetzt wird, wird das \u00fcbrigbleibende Alu-Kunststoff-Gemisch entweder als Brennstoff eingesetzt oder f\u00fcr weitere Produkte genutzt, wie ferner mitgeteilt wird.<\/p>\n

Relevante Kreislaufl\u00fccke schliessen<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Das Angebot in Reinach BL soll eine relevante L\u00fccke im Kunststoffkreislauf schliessen. \u00abDie Sammlung durch die Post vereinfacht es der Bev\u00f6lkerung, gut verwertbare Kunststoffe separat zu sammeln und vor der Haust\u00fcre beim Briefkasten abholen zu lassen. Die Post verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber die n\u00f6tige Logistik und das Know-how um ein solches Sammelsystem nachhaltig zu betreiben\u00bb, sagt Patrick Lampert, Leiter Unit Kreislaufwirtschaft bei der Post CH AG.<\/p>\n

Laut Angaben l\u00e4uft das Pilotprojekt sechs Monate. Doch eine erste Zwischenbilanz ziehe man nach drei Monaten in Form einer Umfrage bei den Reinacherinnen und Reinachern, verr\u00e4t Melanie Haupt auf Anfrage von Umwelt Perspektiven. Dann wird sich zeigen, ob die Schweizer auch in diesem Bereich zu den Recycling-Weltmeistern avancieren wollen.<\/p>\n

Wie auch immer, eine Ausweitung des Sammelgebietes sei seitens \u00abrealCYCLE\u00bb bereits geplant, heisst es in der Mitteilung zum Reinacher Projekt. In einem weiteren Schritt will man zudem testen, ob sich l\u00e4ndliche und abgelegene Gebiete einfacher an Entsorgungsstrukturen anschliessen lassen. Gem\u00e4ss Kreislaufspezialistin Haupt ist die Ambition seitens \u00abrealCYCLE\u00bb gross, eine nationale L\u00f6sung zu finden. \u00abDas Pilotprojekt ist ein erster Schritt in Richtung einer nachhaltigen Kreislaufwirtschaft, wo bestehende Synergien bestm\u00f6glich genutzt werden\u00bb, so Haupt.<\/p>\n

Finanzierungsfrage ungel\u00f6st<\/h2>\n

Stellt sich noch die Frage, weshalb der\u00a0\u00abRecycling-Sack\u00bb nicht kostenlos abgegeben wird? \u00abJemand muss die Kosten f\u00fcr die Logistik usw. bezahlen\u00bb, antwortet Haupt, denn der Ertrag des Rohmaterials reiche daf\u00fcr nicht aus. Ferner weist die ETH-Dozentin f\u00fcr Kreislaufwirtschaft darauf hin, dass im Gegensatz zu PET, Alu und Co. noch keine Finanzierung im Sinne einer vorgezogenen Recyclinggeb\u00fchr f\u00fcr die Verursacher bestehe. Entsprechende Bestrebungen seien jedoch im Gang.<\/p>\n

Und was sagt die Gemeindebeh\u00f6rde?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\u00abAls wir vom Pilotprojekt geh\u00f6rt haben, war klar, dass wir da mitmachen\u00bb, sagt Gemeinder\u00e4tin Doris V\u00f6geli aus Reinach. \u00abDenn das selektive Sammeln von Kunststoff haben wir schon seit l\u00e4ngerem auf dem Radar.\u00bb Ein politischer Auftrag des Reinacher Parlaments (Motion 140 \u201eKunststoffrecycling in Reinach\u201c)<\/a> verlange die Ausarbeitung eines Konzeptes f\u00fcr die Einf\u00fchrung einer selektiven Sammlung von Kunststoffflaschen und Getr\u00e4nkekartons. Mit diesem Pilotprojekt wolle man Erfahrungen sammeln und herausfinden, ob die Bereitschaft in der Bev\u00f6lkerung vorhanden sei, das Angebot zu nutzen. Entscheidend ist, ob gen\u00fcgend Sammelgut zusammenkommt.<\/p>\n
