(Bild: Depositphotos.com)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Dass sich mit der Nutzung von Cargobikes Energie sparen sowie die CO2- und L\u00e4rmbelastung reduzieren lassen, ist offensichtlich. Eine neue \u00dcbersicht des Europ\u00e4ischen Radfahrerbundes ECF zeigt, wie stark sich die Pr\u00e4senz von solchen Cargovelos in St\u00e4dten in den letzten Jahren bereits entwickelt hat.<\/p>\n<h3>Potenzial mit Hindernissen<\/h3>\n<p>Auch in der Schweiz haben Cargobikes ein grosses Potenzial. Sei es f\u00fcr den Transport von Kindern, sei es f\u00fcr den Warentransport. Die Motivation, ein Cargovelo zu fahren, besteht nicht nur im Transport von Kindern oder Waren. Viele Nutzer:innen wollen auch \u00f6kologisch unterwegs sein und beispielsweise auf das Auto verzichten, aber weiterhin autonom und effizient unterwegs sein. &#8222;Cargovelos sind ein &#8222;game changer&#8220;&#8220;, sagt Matthias Aebischer, Pr\u00e4sident von Pro Velo Schweiz. &#8222;Sie sind einer der Schl\u00fcssel f\u00fcr klimaneutrale und lebenswerte St\u00e4dte, denn sie tragen zur L\u00f6sung gleich mehrerer st\u00e4dtischer Probleme bei.&#8220;<\/p>\n<p>Die drei gr\u00f6ssten Hindernisse f\u00fcr die rasche Entwicklung der Cargovelos sind die gesetzlichen Einschr\u00e4nkungen bei den Fahrzeugen, die Breite der Veloinfrastrukturen und die Verf\u00fcgbarkeit von Abstellpl\u00e4tzen.<\/p>\n<h3>Einschr\u00e4nkungen f\u00fcr Cargobikes aufheben<\/h3>\n<p>Die Gewichts- und Breitenbeschr\u00e4nkung von Cargovelos muss aus Sicht von Pro Velo liberalisiert werden. Ebenso der Transport von Kindern auf den verschiedenen Typen von Elektrovelos.<\/p>\n<p>Infrastrukturseitig sind vor allem die St\u00e4dte gefordert. Die Breiten von Radstreifen und \u2011wegen sind vielenorts noch nicht f\u00fcr Cargovelos ausgelegt. Pro Velo erwartet deshalb von den Kantonen und St\u00e4dten, das Velonetz, das wegen des Veloweggesetzes ohnehin erweitert werden muss, entsprechend zu dimensionieren. Vorangetrieben werden soll auch die Schaffung von Logistik-Hubs, die das Umladen von Last- und Lieferwagen auf Cargovelos erm\u00f6glichen. Hier k\u00f6nnen sich die St\u00e4dte am <a href=\"https:\/\/pro-velo.us12.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=5e1ce0f2058c644a1250e58ca&amp;id=0239238347&amp;e=0825f3e74f\">Beispiel von Oslo<\/a> orientieren.<\/p>\n<p>Weil Cargobikes zu gross sind f\u00fcr Veloabstellpl\u00e4tze, braucht es f\u00fcr diese zus\u00e4tzliche Parkfl\u00e4chen. Eine M\u00f6glichkeit ist die Umwidmung von Autoparkpl\u00e4tzen. Pro Velo will jedoch weitergehen, und schl\u00e4gt dem Bund vor, Autoparkpl\u00e4tze generell f\u00fcr Cargovelos freizugeben.<\/p>\n<h3>Cargobikes subventionieren?<\/h3>\n<p>Ein weiterer Anreiz, der in verschiedenen europ\u00e4ischen L\u00e4ndern wie neuerdings auch \u00d6sterreich praktiziert wird, ist die Subvention beim Kauf eines Cargovelos. So wurde in den letzten f\u00fcnf Jahren europaweit der Kauf von 10&#8217;000 Cargovelos finanziell unterst\u00fctzt. Beispiel f\u00fcr die Schweiz kann hier der <a href=\"https:\/\/pro-velo.us12.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=5e1ce0f2058c644a1250e58ca&amp;id=072c9f3d1f&amp;e=0825f3e74f\">Kanton Genf<\/a> sein, der dies seit 2019 praktiziert.
