Wenig \u00fcberraschend unterscheiden sich die Haltungen zwischen den Altersgruppen bei der Frage, ob in der Kommunikation zwischen Unternehmen und Privatpersonen geduzt oder gesiezt werden soll. J\u00fcngere Personen stehen dem Duzen generell offener gegen\u00fcber als \u00e4ltere. Die AXA Studie best\u00e4tigt auch die regional unterschiedlichen Pr\u00e4ferenzen: In der Deutschschweiz ist das Duzen deutlich beliebter als in der Romandie und im Tessin.<\/p>\n

Das Setting ist entscheidender als das Alter<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Der st\u00e4rkste Einflussfaktor auf die pers\u00f6nliche Haltung zum Duzen ist allerdings nicht das Alter, sondern der Kommunikationskontext. Das Setting soll kollegial, ungezwungen und sportlich sein, damit das Du als passend erachtet wird. Konkret bedeutet dies, dass gerade einmal jede zwanzigste Person im Sportverein gerne gesiezt w\u00fcrde, w\u00e4hrend es am Take-Away-Stand bereits jede f\u00fcnfte Person, an der Kasse des Lebensmittelgesch\u00e4fts fast jede zweite und am Bankschalter zwei Drittel aller Personen sind.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Duzen als Zeichen von Unprofessionalit\u00e4t<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Das Du, das sich in immer mehr Lebensbereichen etabliert hat, wird mit zunehmender Seriosit\u00e4t des Kontexts insbesondere von der j\u00fcngsten Testgruppe, den 15- bis 29-J\u00e4hrigen, abgelehnt \u2013 signifikant h\u00e4ufiger als die 30- bis 70-J\u00e4hrigen empfinden sie das Duzen in formelleren Kontexten als unprofessionell. \u00c4ltere Menschen lehnen das Du in professionellen Kontexten prim\u00e4r aus Gr\u00fcnden des Respekts ab und sehen das Duzen privaten und pers\u00f6nlichen Kontexten vorbehalten. Aufdringlich oder unanst\u00e4ndig ist das Duzen im Allgemeinen nur f\u00fcr die wenigsten Personen \u2013 \u00fcber alle Altersgruppen hinweg.<\/p>\n

Deutlichere Altersunterschiede zeigen sich wiederum bei der allgemeinen Haltung zum Siezen. Mit zunehmendem Alter sinkt der Anteil der Personen, welche die Siez-Kultur f\u00fcr veraltet halten. \u00dcber alle Befragten hinweg erachten knapp ein F\u00fcnftel die Siez-Kultur als veraltet, rund ein Drittel ist gegenteiliger Meinung. Ein Alterseffekt zeigt sich auch bei der Frage, ob es als unanst\u00e4ndig empfunden wird, wenn man von einer j\u00fcngeren Person geduzt wird. \u00c4ltere Menschen st\u00f6rt dies klar h\u00e4ufiger. Einig sind sich die unterschiedlichen Generationen hingegen darin, dass man sich erst duzt, wenn das Gegen\u00fcber das Du angeboten hat.<\/p>\n
