Der Bundesrat hat am Mittwoch Martin B\u00fcrki zum neuen Pr\u00e4sidenten der Eidgen\u00f6ssischen Kommunikationskommission Comcom gew\u00e4hlt. Er tritt die Nachfolge von Christian Martin an, der seit 2018 Mitglied der Kommission war und sie seit 2024 leitete, wie der Bund mitteilt.<\/p>\r\n

B\u00fcrki studierte an der Universit\u00e4t Bern Sportwissenschaften und Geschichte und erwarb einen Executive MBA an der Berner Fachhochschule, wie es weiter heisst. Er ist seit mehr als 17 Jahren in der Schweizer Telekommunikationsbranche t\u00e4tig und leitete w\u00e4hrend den vergangenen 14 Jahren Ericsson Switzerland.<\/p>\r\n

B\u00fcrki verf\u00fcge damit \u00fcber eine langj\u00e4hrige F\u00fchrungspraxis mit vertieften Branchenkenntnissen sowie einem fundierten Verst\u00e4ndnis f\u00fcr technologische Entwicklungen und die Herausforderungen des Fernmeldemarktes. Der 57-J\u00e4hrige soll die Funktion als Comcom-Pr\u00e4sident per 1. August 2025 \u00fcbernehmen.<\/p>\r\n

Die Comcom ist als unabh\u00e4ngige Konzessions- und Regulierungsbeh\u00f6rde im Fernmeldebereich insbesondere verantwortlich f\u00fcr die Erteilung von Grundversorgungs- und Funkkonzessionen. Aktuell befasst sie sich unter anderem mit der Vorbereitung der Neuvergabe der Mobilfunkkonzessionen ab 2029, wie es weiter heisst.<\/p>\r\n

Der\u00a0bisherige Pr\u00e4sident Christian Martin\u00a0habe seine Funktion als Pr\u00e4sident der Comcom Ende M\u00e4rz 2025 niedergelegt. \u00abDer Bundesrat dankt ihm f\u00fcr die geleisteten Dienste\u00bb, heisst es weiter. (Marc Landis\/NetzKI Bot\/jor)<\/em><\/p>\r\n
