Kompogas Biogasanlage in San Luis Obispo. \u00a9 HZI<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

In San Luis Obispo in Kalifornien werden heute j\u00e4hrlich rund 36’500 US-Tonnen biogene Abf\u00e4lle mit dem HZI-eigenen Kompogas-Trockenverg\u00e4rungsverfahren zu Biogas verarbeitet und dabei \u00fcber 6 Millionen kWh\/a Strom sowie rund 1700 US Tonnen Fl\u00fcssigd\u00fcnger produziert. Zudem fallen j\u00e4hrlich 18’000 US-Tonnen festen G\u00e4rrests an, welche k\u00fcnftig in der neu entstehenden Installation zu 1\u2019320 US-Tonnen gr\u00fcnem Wasserstoff sowie 2\u2019800 US-Tonnen Biokohle aufbereitet werden, wie das Unternehmen schreibt. Der Wasserstoff werde voraussichtlich ins Netz eingespeist, w\u00e4hrend die Biokohle f\u00fcr die Aufwertung von landwirtschaftlichen Anbaufl\u00e4chen eingesetzt w\u00fcrden. Damit werde der Stoffkreislauf der Anlage vollst\u00e4ndig geschlossen. \u00abWir freuen uns, mit HZI \u2013 einem globalen Entwickler von anaeroben Verg\u00e4rungssystemen, der k\u00fcrzlich seine 100. Kompogas-Anlage gefeiert hat \u2013 zusammenzuarbeiten, um den Wert der von ihnen verarbeiteten Abfallstr\u00f6me weiter zu erh\u00f6hen\u00bb, sagte Andrew White, CEO von CHAR. \u00abDie SLO-Anlage von HZI produziert derzeit gr\u00fcnen Strom aus Abf\u00e4llen aus der gr\u00fcnen Tonne, und die Erweiterung mit unserem System erm\u00f6glicht die zus\u00e4tzliche Produktion von gr\u00fcnem Wasserstoff f\u00fcr den kalifornischen Markt.\u00bb<\/p>\n

Zukunftsorientierte Installation <\/strong><\/h2>\n

Mit der Installation des CHAR-Systems auf einer ihrer Anlagen betrete HZI Neuland, so der Technologieanbieter. Es gelte nun zu testen und weiterzuentwickeln. \u00abWir sind immer auf der Suche nach L\u00f6sungen, um unsere negative CO2-Bilanz weiter zu verbessern und noch mehr Wert aus den Abf\u00e4llen zu sch\u00f6pfen, die in unseren Anlagen verarbeitet werden. Die Installation der innovativen Technologie von CHAR zur Erzeugung von gr\u00fcnem Wasserstoff und Biokohle in der Kompogas-Anlage in San Luis Obispo unterstreicht unser Engagement f\u00fcr die Dekarbonisierung der Wirtschaft\u00bb, sagt Heath Jones, Managing Director von HZI USA.<\/p>\n

Das Projekt sei so aufgesetzt, dass CHAR anf\u00e4nglich als Projekteigent\u00fcmer auftreten und HZI den Anlagenbetrieb \u00fcbernehmen werde. Nach der definierten Testphase beziehungsweise der Projekt\u00fcbergabe werde HZI die M\u00f6glichkeit erhalten, die Anlage gegen eine einmalige Zahlung zu erwerben.<\/p>\n

Leuchtturm-Projekt San Luis Obispo <\/strong><\/h2>\n

Die Kompogas-Anlage in San Luis Obispo habe f\u00fcr HZI in vielerlei Hinsicht Leuchtturm-Charakter. So sei sie bei Inbetriebnahme 2018 die erste Kompogas-Anlage in den USA und gleichzeitig auch die erste, die HZI nicht nur entwickelt und gebaut habe, sondern auch vollst\u00e4ndig besitze und selber betreibe. Das Projekt sei Teil des kalifornischen Programmes zur Reduktion des CO2-Fussabdrucks, das im Jahr 2016 ins Leben gerufen wurde. Es verfolge ehrgeizige Ziele, so beispielsweise die Umleitung von organischen Abf\u00e4llen aus den M\u00fclldeponien weg und die Erzeugung erneuerbarer Energie. Die hochmoderne anaerobe Verg\u00e4rungsanlage trage dazu bei, die zukunftsgerichteten Ziele des Bundesstaates zu verwirklichen. Seit 2018 konnte HZI in Nordamerika weitere Projekte im Bereich erneuerbarer Gase gewinnen. \u00abDiverse interessante Projekte sind in der Pipeline bzw. kurz davor realisiert zu werden\u00bb, betont Heath Jones mit Blick auf die k\u00fcnftigen Aktivit\u00e4ten von HZI USA im nordamerikanischen Markt.<\/p>\n
