Tief im roten Bereich: Der Gesch\u00e4ftsklima-Index von Swissmechanic zeigt weiterhin Pessimismus in der MEM-Branche.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Die im Juli durchgef\u00fchrte Quartalsbefragung von Swissmechanic und BAK Economics bei rund 300 KMU der MEM-Branche zeigt, dass sich der Krisenherd in der MEM-Branche zunehmend von der Angebots-auf die Nachfrageseite verschiebt. Zwar ist auch im Juli noch ein Teil der Unternehmen von Unterbr\u00fc-chen in den Lieferketten (19%) und Personalausf\u00e4llen (12%) betroffen, deren Anzahl hat sich im Vergleich zum April aber mehr als halbiert.<\/p>\n

Gesch\u00e4ftsklima-Index weist auf schwere Rezession hin<\/h2>\n

Der Gesch\u00e4ftsklima-Index zeigt, wie stark die KMU der MEM-Branche von der Corona-Krise getroffen werden: 27 Prozent der Unternehmen m\u00fcssen Entlassungen vornehmen, 63 Prozent haben die Investitionsausgaben reduziert und noch mehr Kurzarbeit angemeldet. F\u00fcr die zuk\u00fcnftige Entwicklung gibt es jedoch nicht nur negative Signale. So d\u00fcrfte beispielsweise der Auftragseingang im dritten Quartal nicht mehr gleich stark sinken wie im zweiten. \u00abDie Corona-Krise hat die Schweizer Wirtschaft in eine schwere Rezession gest\u00fcrzt, wobei die MEM-Branche noch st\u00e4rker eingebrochen ist als die Gesamtwirtschaft\u00bb, h\u00e4lt Swissmechanic Direktor J\u00fcrg Marti fest und erg\u00e4nzt: \u00abDas Hauptproblem ist der Auftragsmangel.\u00bb<\/p>\n

Auftragsmangel akzentuiert sich weiter<\/h2>\n

Der Anteil der Unternehmen, bei denen Auftragsmangel das Hauptproblem darstellt, ist im Juli auf 89 Prozent (April 63%) gestiegen. Knapp die H\u00e4lfte richtet sich darauf ein, dass der Auftragsmangel noch mehr als sechs Monate dauern wird. Der Hintergrund ist, dass die Endkunden der MEM-Branche aufgrund des globalen Konjunktureinbruchs, der hohen Unsicherheit und des erh\u00f6hten Liquidit\u00e4tsbedarfs nur noch die n\u00f6tigsten Investitionen t\u00e4tigen.<\/p>\n

Von dieser Nachfrageschw\u00e4che zeugt \u2013 befeuert von der Frankenst\u00e4rke \u2013 auch der dramatische Einbruch der Exporte im zweiten Quartal 2020 von 25 Prozent \u00fcber das gesamte MEM-Warenspektrum gesehen. Auch die Produzentenpreise haben im gleichen Zeitraum abgenommen, jedoch nur moderat.<\/p>\n

Einstellungsstopp und Kurzarbeit<\/h2>\n

Die Branche gibt stark Gegensteuer. Rund 70 Prozent der Unternehmen haben einen Einstellungsstopp verh\u00e4ngt und Kurzarbeit beantragt. Im zweiten Quartal wurden im Branchenschnitt 29 Prozent Kurzarbeit abgerechnet, im dritten Quartal d\u00fcrften es 34 Prozent werden. Dass der Bundesrat Mitte August beschlossen hat, die Vollzugserleichterungen f\u00fcr Kurzarbeitsentsch\u00e4digung bis Ende Jahr zu verl\u00e4ngern, kommt den Kantonen und nat\u00fcrlich auch der gebeutelten Wirtschaft entgegen. Im Vergleich zum April (16%) hat auch der Anteil der Firmen zugenommen, welche angeben, Entlassungen vorzunehmen (Juli 27%). Die MEM-Unternehmen setzen aber nicht nur beim Personal an, zwei Drittel sparen auch bei den Investitionen.<\/p>\n

Verhalten positive Zeichen<\/h2>\n

Inmitten der schlechten Nachrichten gibt es jedoch auch verhalten positive Zeichen. Marti: \u00abDie befragten KMU erwarten f\u00fcr das dritte Quartal eine leichte Abschw\u00e4chung des Auftragseinbruchs. Zudem berichten weniger Unternehmen von Liquidit\u00e4tsproblemen als noch im April und weiterhin sieht nur eine kleine Minderheit (5%) ein ernsthaftes Konkursrisiko.\u00bb Auch h\u00e4lt die Mehrheit der befragten KMU an geplanten FuE-Projekten und Weiterbildungen fest.<\/p>\n
