Under the title "Geopolitics - Effects on the domestic market", the 29th Thurgau Economic Forum is dedicated to one of the most pressing issues of our time. Global power shifts, international trade conflicts and regional instabilities raise key questions for Switzerland as a business location. How can economic resilience be strengthened in a fragmented global trade environment? What role do bilateral relations play? And where do new opportunities arise for companies that are courageous and agile in an unstable environment?

First prominent speakers confirmed

Christoph Frei, Professor of International Relations at the University of St. Gallen, is a proven expert who will provide a geopolitical overview. Magdalena Martullo-Blocher, CEO of Ems-Chemie AG, and Simon Michel, CEO of Ypsomed AG, will talk about bilateral relations from a business perspective. In his keynote speech, resilience expert Marc Wallert, who has gained international fame through his personal story, will talk about entrepreneurial resilience in times of global crises.

Kick-off talk on the Thurgau economy

For the first time, the forum will start with a kick-off talk highlighting the economic situation in the canton of Thurgau. In a discussion with moderator Mona Vetsch, Thomas Koller, Chairman of the Executive Board of Thurgauer Kantonalbank, and Daniel Wessner, Head of the Office of Economy and Labor of the Canton of Thurgau, will discuss regional developments and build a bridge to the main theme of the event.
