Economiesuisse: Jan Atteslander leaves
Jan Atteslander, the long-standing Head of Foreign Trade at economiesuisse, will leave the association in spring 2026. The reasons were not disclosed.

Economist Jan Atteslander joined economiesuisse in 2008 as a member of the Executive Board and has headed the foreign trade policy dossiers of the umbrella organization of the Swiss economy for almost two decades. He also represents the association on several committees of international business associations. He has decided to leave economiesuisse in spring 2026. "I regret Jan Atteslander's decision and thank him for his many years of commitment to Switzerland as a business location," says Monika Rühl, Chair of the Executive Board, adding: "Jan Atteslander has played a decisive and successful role in shaping Swiss European and free trade policy in recent years. I would like to thank him warmly for this."
Jan Atteslander will remain Head of Foreign Trade at economiesuisse until the end of February 2026. The search for a suitable successor will begin shortly, economiesuisse announced in a press release.
