iWay celebrates 30 years with a roaring 90s party
The Zurich-based internet provider iWay celebrated its 30th anniversary last Friday evening, September 26, 2025. Around 300 guests - including long-time companions and supporters, partners, customers and employees - accepted the invitation to the event location "The Valley" in Kemptthal. Under the motto "Mega Byte - Mega Beats - Mega Vibes - Mega Party", they experienced an evening full of music, comedy and games with lasting memories.

In his humorous anniversary speech, iWay co-founder and CEO Markus Vetterli looked back on the origins and development of iWay: from the first consulting assignments for major clients in the 1990s to today's portfolio of Internet, TV, telephony, mobile, cloud and hosting services. "30 years of iWay are much more than a success story - they are a reflection of digitalization in Switzerland. As an Internet pioneer, we can be proud to have played an active role in shaping the changes of the last three decades," said Vetterli.
Comedy, games, live music and party
The entire management and even some guests lent the party a humorously nostalgic touch by appearing in a 90s look in keeping with the occasion. The moderation team Nadia Goedhart and Sandro Galfetti led through the evening with wit and charm and created an exuberant atmosphere with their comedic performance. The right musical entertainment was provided by the cover band The New Hornets, who revived the music of the 90s with two energetic live sets. Guests could also indulge in the past in an extra game area with pinball machines, XXL Pacman and other iconic arcade games. Later, DJ Petar transformed the anniversary party into a club night that lasted until the late hours.
Thanks to customers, partners and employees
At the anniversary event, iWay thanked everyone who has contributed to the company's development and success. "Our long-standing customers, partners and the entire team are the foundation of our success - without them, 30 years of iWay would not have been possible. For us, this anniversary is not just about looking back. We want to shape the next 30 years together and connect people digitally with innovations and services from Switzerland in a fair, reliable and uncomplicated way. Because we will remain techies in our hearts in the future," says Vetterli.
