After the end of radicant: Alpian takes over
radicant bank ag (radicant) has created a succession solution for its customers that will continue to give them access to innovative banking services. A corresponding agreement between radicant and Alpian has been signed by the boards of directors of both banks.

On November 11, 2025, radicant announced that, in consultation with its majority shareholder BLKB, it would cease its banking activities and return its banking license. This step is part of an orderly process, with customer deposits remaining fully protected. Together with Alpian, a solution has now been found that will continue to guarantee radicant customers access to state-of-the-art banking solutions. The two boards of directors have signed the relevant agreement. The transition is expected to be seamless for customers and to be completed by April 2026. The transaction is subject to the completion of all corporate law procedures. Alpian is a Swiss bank supervised by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA). It belongs to the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, one of the largest banking groups in Europe.
«Alpian combines a fully digital bank account for everyday use with first-class investment services and personal, expert advice. For our customers, this is the ideal successor solution. We are delighted to be able to present a corresponding offering together with Alpian,» says Bruno Meyer, CEO of radicant. «We look forward to welcoming radicant's customers to our platform. We are convinced that our innovative banking approach meets the expectations of bank customers for a modern digital bank. The transition will be as smooth as possible,» says Gianmarco Bonaita, CEO of Alpian.
Around 20,000 radicant customers will be informed promptly and transparently about the next steps. The aim is to ensure that customers can continue to carry out their usual banking transactions seamlessly with their new provider in the future. All obligations to customers, employees, and partners will continue to be fulfilled in full.
