Michael Tobler becomes new CEO of iWay

The Board of Directors of internet provider iWay appoints Michael Tobler (54) as the new CEO. He will take up his position at iWay on August 1, 2026. Tobler will be responsible for driving growth with the new telephony platform and the upcoming new mobile platform, further improving profitability, optimizing business processes and developing structures. After an intensive induction phase, he will officially take over overall responsibility as CEO from Markus Vetterli on January 1, 2027. The latter will continue to make his knowledge available to the company on the Board of Directors.

Michael Tobler has decades of extensive expertise and management experience in the telecoms and IT sector. As Head of Products and Technology at iWay owner SAK, he has been responsible for operational excellence and future-oriented ICT solutions since 2017. He is a proven expert in product management, particularly in the operation and strategy of FTTH (Fiber to the Home) networks. He has been supporting the Board of Directors of iWay as Board Secretary since 2018 and is therefore already very familiar with the organization, culture and strategic direction of the company. He is also Secretary to the Boards of Directors of SAK subsidiaries Ascano Informatik and Rechenzentrum Ostschweiz. Thanks to his experience on these boards of directors, he also has valuable insights into governance, strategy and corporate management.
