On March 18, 2026, the Annual General Meeting of Renggli AG approved key personnel changes to the Board of Directors. The realignment is part of a long-term succession solution planned to ensure both the continuity and further development of the family business.

Bruno Thürig takes over the chairmanship

Bruno Thürig is the first person from outside the family to take over as Chairman of the Board of Directors in the more than 100-year history of Renggli AG. The doctor of law brings with him many years of management experience as the former CEO of a cantonal bank as well as broad economic expertise. His election is a deliberate step by the timber construction company: the combination of entrepreneurial family culture with external expertise should continue the successful development of the past decades and ensure long-term competitiveness.

«I am very much looking forward to this task and the trust that has been placed in me. Renggli AG combines tradition with innovative strength and consistently focuses on sustainable construction. Together with the owner family and the entire Board of Directors, I would like to help build on this strong foundation and continue to develop the company successfully in the coming years,» says Bruno Thürig.

Alain Grossenbacher new member of the Board of Directors

Alain Grossenbacher, owner and CEO of Eberli AG and Eberli Bau AG in Sarnen, was newly elected to the Board of Directors. He has managed the group of companies since 2015 and, with the Eberli Group, is shaping construction development in the heart of Switzerland with major real estate projects. His strong roots in the construction and real estate industry and his entrepreneurial experience along the entire life cycle of real estate ideally complement the existing expertise on the Board of Directors.

Gabriela Devigus Minder, entrepreneur and experienced board member, and the three brothers as owners of Renggli AG, David Renggli (CEO), Samuel Renggli (COO) and Micha Renggli (construction and project manager), will continue to serve on the Board of Directors of Renggli AG.

Max Renggli steps down after 35 years

With the reorganization, Max Renggli is definitively leaving the company. As a representative of the fourth generation, he shaped Renggli AG for 35 years as Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO. Under his leadership, the company developed from a small family business into a leading full-service provider in timber construction - thanks to continuous innovation, a strict focus on climate-friendly construction methods and a consistently value-oriented corporate culture.

«It fills me with great joy and pride to look back on this long and formative period. Renggli AG is excellently positioned strategically. With the handover to the next generation and the election of a strong, broad-based Board of Directors, now is the right time for me to retire,» explains Max Renggli. He would like to thank all employees, customers and the network that has grown over the years.

Franz Hess and Albert Infanger are also leaving the Board of Directors at the same time. Both had been active on the Board since 2003 and were among the most important companions in the strategic development of the company.

Commitment to good governance

With the new constitution, Renggli AG is strengthening its good governance: transparent structures, clear responsibilities, high effectiveness and practiced ethical standards. The composition of the Board of Directors combines family competence with external expertise - a management model that combines stability and further development for the future.
