Abraxas Emphasizes Continuity: Ruedi Häni to Become New CFO
Effective April 1, 2027, Ruedi Häni will assume the role of CFO and become a member of the Executive Board of Abraxas Informatik. He succeeds Rolf Lichtin, who is retiring early after nearly ten years. By appointing an internal successor, the Board of Directors is ensuring a seamless transition.
Rolf Lichtin has decided to take early retirement effective the end of March 2027. Since May 2017, as CFO and a member of the Executive Board, he has been responsible for the financial management of Abraxas, which, according to the company, is the largest provider of end-to-end IT solutions for the public sector in Switzerland. His succession has been arranged well in advance: The Board of Directors has appointed Ruedi Häni, currently Head of Controlling, to serve as CFO, Head of Finance & Procurement, and a member of the Executive Board effective April 1, 2027.
Extensive shared experience
Ruedi Häni has been familiar with Abraxas and its environment for many years and combines experience in finance, controlling, and corporate management with a professional background in information technology. «For me, the role of CFO goes far beyond responsibility for finance and procurement. I want to contribute my experience and knowledge to actively help shape Abraxas’s development,» says Ruedi Häni.

From Computer Science to Management Accounting
Ruedi Häni, 47, holds a degree in Business Administration (FH) and a Master of Science in Business Administration. He began his professional career in information technology, working as a software developer, product manager, and consultant, among other roles. From 2018 to 2022, he headed the Controlling department at Abraxas, having previously served as a business controller there since 2013. From 2022 to 2025, he was Head of Services and a member of the Executive Board at Gemdat AG. Since September 2025, he has headed the Controlling department at Abraxas and is a member of senior management. Ruedi Häni also holds a federal certificate in computer science. He lives with his family in Romanshorn and is the father of two children.
