Further training in digital accessibility launched
The non-profit foundation «Access for All» launches the ZFA Academy and expands further training in digital accessibility. The aim is to train more professionals who can recognize and remove digital barriers.

With the launch of the Academy, «Access for All» is expanding its range of courses to mark its 25th anniversary. Courses that were previously held on request for companies and organizations are now also available to individuals. With new in-depth courses such as «Mobile App Testing» and «Screenreader Testing», participants can expand their knowledge in a targeted manner. The popular introductory courses on digital web offerings and accessible documents as well as the «Digital Accessibility Professional» course will remain in place, meaning that the ZFA Academy's further education program is aimed at both beginners and professionals.
Continuous expansion of the range
Tailor-made company courses are also part of the program: Participants work directly with their own systems and develop concrete solutions that they can implement immediately in everyday life.
The range of courses offered by the ZFA Academy is to be continuously expanded in the future. This will enable it to respond to new trends and developments at an early stage and meet changing market requirements.
Why an academy is needed
Digital accessibility affects us all. Whether it's online shopping, e-banking or dealing with the authorities: Digital accessibility is no longer a marginal issue. This is also shown by the latest collaboration between «Access for all» and CORRECTIV.Schweiz, in which 70 municipal websites were checked for accessibility. Not a single one could be classified as accessible. Legal requirements such as the Swiss Disability Discrimination Act (BehiG) and the European Accessibility Act (EAA) also increase the pressure on companies and organizations and demand that digital offerings are accessible to all. Nevertheless, «Access for all» repeatedly finds that the necessary knowledge about digital accessibility is lacking in companies. Especially in the areas of development, design and content, it is important that experts take digital accessibility into account from the outset. With the ZFA Academy, «Access for all» aims to close this gap, train more specialists and thus enable companies and organizations to meet their social and legal responsibilities.
Practical learning
Project managers, developers and clients should learn as practically as possible in interactive courses. To this end, participants test digital services themselves and learn how to identify and eliminate barriers at an early stage. After completing the courses, participants will be equipped to implement digital accessibility directly in companies and organizations.
