elektroNWS AG Basel is taken over by the Builtech Group

elektroNWS AG, a major electronics service provider based in the canton of Basel-Landschaft, has grown steadily to 130 employees since it was founded in 2013. The company has a strong market position and extensive expertise in the field of large-volume electrical projects and is one of the few companies in the region that can handle any size of project. With more than 30 trainees, the company actively contributes to securing skilled workers in the region. The company focuses on challenging B2B projects and is a sought-after partner, particularly for healthcare facilities/commercial buildings/residential developments/renewable energies.

Strategic expansion in Switzerland

The company is now being acquired by Builtech Group. Builtech is a dynamically growing group of currently 51 leading companies and more than 2000 employees in German-speaking countries (DACH) and Sweden. With the acquisition of elektroNWS AG, the group is significantly expanding its presence in Switzerland. The company complements the service portfolio in the field of electrical engineering - a key area for the energy transition in the building sector. "With elektroNWS AG, we are gaining an economically strong company. We are clearly on course for growth in an important market," says Maurice Freiherr von Dalwigk, CEO of the Builtech Group. "Basel is a strategically important location for us. The takeover will enable us to offer customers in the region a full range of MEP services in future," von Dalwigk continues.

Builtech focuses on decentralized growth with strong partners

The Builtech Group pursues a clear strategy: expanding technical expertise and regional presence by acquiring strong local companies. The companies retain their identity and benefit from Group-wide synergies. In Switzerland, Builtech is already active in Zurich - now the region of north-western Switzerland, with Basel as the second strategic focus and strongest economic region in Switzerland, is being added. elektroNWS perfectly complements Emi AG in Zurich, which specializes in plumbing and heating and is the Group's first company in Switzerland. Bahattin Ates will continue to be responsible as Managing Director. Kum will be available in an advisory capacity for twelve months and will then devote himself to other topics.

According to Builtech, it is planning further acquisitions. "We make targeted investments in economically successful and entrepreneurially managed companies with regional roots.
