Elektro Gebhardt AG: Takeover by the Builtech Group
The Builtech Group has announced another takeover in the greater Basel area within a short space of time: following elektroNWS AG, the group has now also acquired the long-established Elektro Gebhardt AG.
After the takeover of the elektroNWS AG in May 2025 the Builtech Group can now announce another acquisition in the Basel area. Elektro Gebhardt AG will now also become part of the group, further strengthening its presence in Switzerland. The company brings extensive expertise in electrical engineering and building automation, thereby enriching the Group's service profile in Switzerland, as detailed in a press release.
Diversification of TGA expertise in Switzerland
With the takeover of Elektro Gebhardt AG, based in Basel-Stadt and steeped in tradition, the Builtech Group is guaranteeing the continued existence of an established provider in the field of electrical installations with over 70 years of market experience. In the same step, the former sister company enovo AG will be integrated into Elektro Gebhardt AG. enovo AG specializes in building automation and will add key future competencies to the range of services. Elektro Gebhardt AG: Quality and continuity since 1955
Elektro Gebhardt AG is one of the few long-established electrical companies in Basel-Stadt. Together with enovo AG, the company currently employs 20 people. The company offers a broad portfolio of services from project planning to implementation - from low-current systems, building automation and smart buildings to lighting systems and IT cabling as well as renewable energies (photovoltaic systems / PVA), emergency power supply and switchgear. The focus is on commercial and residential building renovations, conversions and new builds. Customers include both public and private clients.

The previous Managing Director Luqman Zafar will continue to lead the company in the future and actively support its integration into the Builtech Group.
