Lastech AG and Allucan AG join forces
Lastech AG in Mellingen is taking over Allucan AG in Bremgarten, thus creating the basis for sustainable growth. This step secures jobs, strengthens competitiveness and creates the basis for sustainable growth - to the benefit of an entire region.
Two strong SMEs in the Reuss Valley are moving closer together: Lastech AG and Allucan AG are joining forces to shape their future together. Founded in 1989, Lastech is regarded as a pioneer of laser technology in sheet metal processing. Allucan, founded in 1962, specializes in high-quality aluminium constructions and products for customers in the railroad, energy, construction, defence and aerospace industries. The takeover was desired by both parties and is intended as a partnership merger. Both companies will remain independent and continue to operate under their familiar names. This creates the conditions for a stable future with growth potential.
Increase competitiveness
The targeted use of synergies, such as short distances, joint use of resources, exchange of experience and mutual support in organizational and business issues, creates significant added value. The pooling of expertise in steel, stainless steel and aluminum opens up potential with existing customers and new business areas. The two companies are also tapping into new markets through more comprehensive projects. The alliance has particular benefits for customers: An expanded range of products in component manufacturing, lean supply chains and efficient processes lead to greater flexibility and improved competitiveness.
In an initial phase, both companies will continue to operate at their existing locations. In the longer term, a merger at a joint location is planned. The usual continuity will be guaranteed for customers, suppliers and partners. The operational contact persons will remain the same. What is new is that the ownership structure and overall management will be brought together under the umbrella of Lastech AG. Reto Sägesser, previously CEO of Lastech AG, will take over the overall management of the group of companies.
A win-win situation for both sides
"The integration of Allucan AG is a welcome step for Lastech AG as part of its strategic development. The bundling of expertise in steel, stainless steel and aluminum opens up new business areas for both companies. With short communication channels, lean production and a joint presence, we will establish ourselves as a sustainable technology partner for integrated solutions in metal," explains Reto Sägesser, CEO of the new group of companies. The Allucan side is also optimistic about the future: "We are looking forward to the synergies that will result from the merger with Lastech AG.
