Urs Neuhauser has resigned from his position as CEO of the Griesser Group by mutual agreement as of January 12, 2026.

The CEO of blind manufacturer Griesser, based in Aadorf in the canton of Thurgau, Urs Neuhauser, has left the company, as announced in a media release on January 19. Stefan Leitner, previously CFO of the Griesser Group, will take over as interim CEO. He will be supported by Walter Strässle, Chairman of the Board of Directors and representative of the owner family. This interim solution, which has already come into effect, will ensure continuity and stability in the management of the company, it is reported.
As the company also announced, the search for a successor for the CEO position has already been initiated. In the meantime, Griesser is consistently focusing on the further development of innovative sun shading solutions, proximity to customers and sustainable growth in existing and new markets. «Urs Neuhauser has accompanied the company over the past seven years and helped shape various developments. We would like to thank him for this,» said Walter Strässle on behalf of the entire Board of Directors and the employees.
As a family business with over 140 years of history - founded in 1882 - Griesser has always stood for pioneering spirit, quality and long-term thinking. Building on this strong foundation, the brand (or company) looks to the future with confidence and continues its success story with clear strategic direction and committed teams. The reason for Urs Neuhauser's rapid departure is not known. According to Media reports the company's business had not been going well recently. IT problems also made the headlines. The company employs 1500 people, 400 of whom work in Aadorf.
