Huawei with new CEO in Switzerland
Allen Cao becomes the new Huawei CEO in Switzerland. He will take over the management of the local subsidiary of the global technology equipment provider, which has three sites in Liebefeld, Dübendorf and Lausanne.

The new head of Switzerland, Allen Cao, has already helped shape Huawei's fortunes in Europe and South America as a leader for many years before succeeding Michael Yang as part of a normal rotation. The new CEO of Huawei Technologies Switzerland previously headed various departments at Huawei, including as Director of Global Accounts for Deutsche Telekom and the Luxembourg-based telecommunications company Millicom, which operates primarily in South America.
Allen Cao joined Huawei in Beijing in 2005 as a development engineer. He then gradually rose through the ranks to Sales and then Account Director. He holds a degree in Communication Engineering from Xi'an University. He is full of enthusiasm for his new role and says: «Huawei has been deeply rooted in Switzerland for 18 years and is closely networked with strong partners and customers. We value the open and innovative environment as well as the transparent exchange with the authorities. With our proven and new smart technologies, we want to contribute even more to the country's digitalization, innovation and sustainability in the future. We drive technological progress, promote energy efficiency and thus create tangible benefits for people, companies and institutions in a wide range of sectors.»
The previous CEO, Michael Yang, will take over as CEO of Huawei Germany.
