Stephan Tschudi becomes the new President of suisse.ing

At the Annual General Meeting on May 8, 2026, the Swiss Association of Consulting Engineering Companies suisse.ing elected Stephan Tschudi as its new President. The previous President Andrea Galli was bid farewell after twelve years of involvement in the association. Eichenberger was also awarded the Silver Circle for its exemplary promotion of young talent.

At the Annual General Meeting of the Swiss Association of Consulting Engineering Companies suisse.ing on May 8, 2026, Stephan Tschudi, Managing Director of bbp geomatik, was elected as the new President by rotation. The graduate cultural engineer ETH has been a member of the suisse.ing board since 2018 and brings many years of management and association expertise to the table. Thanks to his broad professional experience in the fields of engineering, surveying and business management, he has a sound understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the industry.

Farewell to Andrea Galli

suisse.ing bid farewell to the previous President Andrea Galli (ARX Group) with many thanks. He was actively involved in the association for a total of twelve years - first as a member of the board for eight years and then as president for four years. His time in office saw significant developments and milestones: the name change to suisse.ing, the introduction of the new co-management, numerous industry campaigns, political referendum campaigns and countless public appearances in Switzerland and abroad.

Along with Andrea Galli, Pierre Epars and Agostino Clericetti are also stepping down from the Board of Directors. Both have reached the maximum term of office of eight years and have played a key role in shaping the association's work during this time. Cristina Pagani (ARX Group), Martina Schmucki (CSD Ingenieure) and Jean-François Wavre (sdplus) were newly elected to the Board.

Silver circle for Eichenberger

The bilding Foundation awarded the «Silver Circle» at the Annual General Meeting. Eichenberger AG was honored for its extraordinary commitment to promoting young talent in the construction industry. The company integrates apprentices into real work processes at an early stage, enables them to gain practical experience and, with an apprentice ratio of around 20 percent, has been setting a strong example for the sustainable recruitment of skilled workers for years.

Impetus from infrastructure and politics

The guest speeches were a thematic highlight of the Annual General Meeting. Linus Looser, Head of Infrastructure SBB, spoke about the future challenges in the infrastructure sector. Government Councillor Sandra Kolly, Head of the Department of Construction and Justice of the Canton of Solothurn, gave a welcome address to the participants. Monica Rosenberg concluded the event with insights into the history and organization of the Solothurn Film Festival.

suisse.ing unites over 422 members at around 1,022 locations with a good 15,000 employees. The members generate an annual gross fee turnover of over 2.6 billion Swiss francs - this corresponds to around 50 percent of engineering-related expenditure in the construction sector.
