Wavestone strengthens management team and areas of expertise in Switzerland
Wavestone is expanding its Swiss presence in a targeted manner: With the appointment of Alexander Meier as Partner and three new Associate Partners, the international management and technology consultancy is strengthening its expertise in the areas of transformation, cyber security, public services and life sciences.

Wavestone is continuing its growth trajectory in Switzerland: the international management and technology consultancy has appointed Alexander Meier as a Partner and simultaneously appointed three experienced leaders as Associate Partners. In doing so, the company is strengthening its expertise in the areas of cyber security, public services and life sciences - and underlining its commitment to supporting clients through complex transformation processes.
Alexander Meier takes over partner responsibility
Alexander Meier has more than 15 years of experience in management consulting. He supports companies in complex transformation projects and helps them to develop business models, processes and technologies in a future-oriented manner. His areas of expertise include SAP transformations, data strategies and the development and implementation of target operating models. As Key Account Manager, he is responsible for Wavestone Switzerland's largest customer in the transportation and logistics sector. He also supports organizations from the public transport, industrial and pharmaceutical sectors in strategic and technological change projects. His project experience includes national and international mandates in Switzerland, Germany, the UK, the USA and China.
Alexander Meier has a background in mechanical engineering and a master's degree in digital currencies. «Companies today are faced with the challenge of successfully implementing strategic goals and anchoring changes sustainably. Together with our clients, I would like to continue to shape this path in the future and support them in their transformation projects,» says Alexander Meier.
Hasan Tekin, Managing Director German-speaking Switzerland at Wavestone, emphasizes: «Alexander combines a deep understanding of the industry with the ability to successfully implement complex transformation projects. He creates measurable added value for our clients and has made a significant contribution to the growth of our business in Switzerland. His appointment as Partner is a consistent recognition of his achievements, his entrepreneurial commitment and his leadership qualities.»

Three new Associate Partners for strategic growth areas
In parallel to the partner promotion, Wavestone is appointing three experienced executives as Associate Partners - in areas that are becoming increasingly business-critical for companies and public institutions.
Dr. Daniel Nussbaumer is taking on a central role in the expansion of the Cyber Security division. The doctor of law and recognized expert in cybercrime and white-collar crime combines legal expertise with a deep understanding of technology. Before joining Wavestone, he headed the cybercrime department of the Zurich cantonal police and the Swiss police network NEDIK. At Wavestone, he supports companies and organizations in reducing cyber risks, further developing security structures and responding professionally and legally compliant in the event of an emergency.
Marcel Flügel has joined the Public Services division as an Associate Partner. The graduate electrical engineer from ETH Zurich has around ten years of consulting experience in the public sector as well as many years of practical experience in the security sector at Zurich Airport. His focus is on complex digitalization and transformation programmes in which process optimization, governance and modern delivery models are intertwined.

Elio Bohner assumes responsibility for Life Sciences and Business Design as Associate Partner. The experienced transformation consultant already manages a unit of over 20 employees and was honored with the Client Satisfaction Award in 2025. His focus is on customer-centric transformation approaches, innovative business models and the combination of strategic consulting with concrete implementation. He is also committed to talent development, diversity and equal opportunities within Wavestone.
Investing in the future viability of customers
With these four appointments, Wavestone is continuing to expand its Swiss presence and is specifically promoting leaders from within its own ranks. «From the resilient digitalization of government institutions and protection against cyber threats to the development of innovative business models in the healthcare sector - our clients are facing far-reaching technological and organizational changes. With Marcel Flügel, Dr. Daniel Nussbaumer and Elio Bohner, we are specifically strengthening three areas that are central to the future viability of our clients,» says Hasan Tekin.
