Dominique von Matt Joins the Board of Directors of newhome

The real estate platform newhome elected Prof. Dr. Dominique von Matt to its Board of Directors effective July 7, 2026. Von Matt is considered one of Switzerland’s most renowned communications and branding experts. With this new appointment, newhome is sending a clear signal regarding the brand’s further development and the strengthening of its regional roots. At the same time, Laurent Decrue is assuming the newly created role of Vice Chair of the Board of Directors. Jan Werkmann is stepping down from the board.

Branding Expertise for Strategic Growth

Dominique von Matt brings extensive expertise in the areas of branding, marketing, public relations, and strategic corporate management. He is the founder of the communications agency Jung von Matt in Zurich, which he led as CEO for 22 years and shaped as Chairman of the Board of Directors for 32 years. Today, through his firm von Matt/second opinion, he advises companies on strategic decisions regarding branding and marketing. In addition, he serves on the boards of directors of NZZ, Faigle, and Go4Balance, among others. As an honorary professor at the University of St. Gallen and honorary president of the gfm (Society for Marketing), he is also committed to the academic and professional advancement of marketing.

The board brings together proven expertise in the fields of real estate, finance, digitalization, media, and brand management. The operational management of the real estate portal remains unchanged.
