AI Visibility: Fynest Launches GEO/GIO Program for SMEs
Generative AI systems such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini are changing how businesses are found online. The Fynest Competence Center is launching a scientifically grounded GEO/GIO program designed to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) gain visibility in the responses generated by AI systems.

For decades, Google has determined which companies are visible online. Now, generative AI systems like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity are fundamentally changing the rules of the game. Any business that doesn’t appear in these systems’ responses will lose reach, inquiries, and potential customers—regardless of how good its current Google rankings are.
From Research to Practice
Fynest, an international marketing and research consulting firm, is responding to this shift with a GIO/GEO (Generative Intelligence Optimization / Generative Engine Optimization) program based on approximately two and a half years of applied research. Through the end of August, the offering is available at significantly reduced rates as part of a summer promotion for the DACH market.
«Many SMEs and hidden champions offer outstanding products and services, but are not considered—or are only inadequately considered—by AI systems when relevant queries are made. That is precisely where a new competition for visibility is currently emerging,» explains Managing Director Bernd Trummer.
New Rules of the Game for Digital Visibility
While traditional search engines provide links to websites, generative AI systems are increasingly delivering direct answers. Fynest has incorporated insights from research and practical experience into a standardized optimization program that prepares companies for the requirements of modern AI search systems within a few weeks. Optimization for generative AI systems is not a short-term measure: The goal is to systematically build digital relevance and authority in a search landscape that is increasingly shaped by AI-generated answers.
AI Visibility as a Competitive Factor for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses
With its summer promotion, Fynest is deliberately taking an accessible approach: The company aims to give small and medium-sized enterprises and “hidden champions” in particular early access to methods that were previously reserved primarily for international corporations.
«Small and medium-sized businesses in the DACH region are the backbone of our economy. If we want our companies to remain successful in the age of AI, we must make it easier for them to access this expertise,» said Trummer. Prof. Dr. Uwe Seebacher, CFO and strategy expert at Fynest, also underscores the urgency: «We are currently witnessing a fundamental shift in digital visibility. Companies that are already building relevant content, clear positioning, and robust digital signals for AI systems today are creating a sustainable competitive advantage for themselves. That’s why the decisions made today will determine which companies will be visible in AI systems» responses tomorrow.”
