Deloitte Switzerland receives EcoVadis Platinum for sustainability
Deloitte Switzerland has been awarded the prestigious EcoVadis platinum medal. This confirms the company's outstanding sustainability performance.

In recent years, Deloitte Switzerland has integrated sustainable practices into all business areas and provides significant support to its clients in achieving their sustainability goals. This is also reflected in the improvement of 16 points compared to the last assessment.
EcoVadis is the world's most recognized provider of sustainability ratings, evaluating companies on four key topics: environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. Deloitte also received the platinum medal as a result of a company-wide program to strengthen governance and ESG transparency, the continuous development of sustainability reporting and the introduction of a stricter procurement policy.
Added value for customers
"Being awarded the EcoVadis Platinum Medal is a recognition of both our comprehensive approach to sustainability and our commitment to the future," says Liza Engel, Chief Sustainability Officer of Deloitte Switzerland. "As a recognized consulting firm, we are committed to leading by example and driving sustainable business practices. Being recognized by EcoVadis also strengthens our credibility and our ability to support companies in their own commitment to sustainability. It also demonstrates that a strong focus on sustainability and financial success go hand in hand. We are determined to use this platform to make an even greater impact - for our customers, our employees, the economy and society."
The EcoVadis platinum medal has concrete added value for Deloitte Switzerland's clients and market position. Companies often request access to Deloitte Switzerland's EcoVadis data to assess their supply chain. This shows that it is becoming increasingly important for organizations to work with consulting firms that take a measurable leadership role in sustainability.
Integrating sustainable processes in all business areas
Deloitte Switzerland's commitment to sustainable business practices flows directly into its services for clients via the company's own "Sustainable Delivery Framework". This comprehensive toolkit enables Deloitte to integrate sustainability aspects into all client relationships, from the calculation of CO₂ emissions during business trips to the implementation of projects. Among other things, the framework includes a sophisticated travel emissions calculator for the entire course of a client project.
Commitment to sustainability is fostered through internal networks that promote the Sustainable Delivery Framework and encourage employees across the organization to engage in sustainable practices both internally and with client companies. Numerous professionals are now working on sustainability projects for our clients - an area of activity that is growing rapidly and is testament to the popularity of Deloitte Switzerland's integrated approach to sustainable business transformation.
Exemplary commitment to the environment and social issues
Deloitte Switzerland's achievements in terms of sustainability go beyond the EcoVadis award. The company demonstrates its commitment to climate protection with its World Climate Strategy and net zero target by 2040. These targets were reviewed by the Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTI) in September 2024 and are in line with those in the Paris Agreement to limit global warming to 1.5°C.
The Swiss company has significantly reduced its gross carbon emissions per full-time equivalent compared to 2019. Since 2017, 100% of the electricity for all offices has come from renewable energy sources. The company received LEED Gold certification for its headquarters in Zurich, is certified to the ISO 14001 environmental management standard and is helping to further reduce Scope 3 emissions by supporting sustainable commuting.
The company's commitment to responsible business practices is also evidenced by the "We Pay Fair" seal of approval from the University of St. Gallen, the Swiss LGBTI label and comprehensive initiatives to promote diversity and inclusion in the workforce, which includes more than 70 nationalities and 45% women.
