Here in Weinfelden, \"Baustoff-City\" is being built. \u00a9 Kibag<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Production of \"Baustoff-City\" at Kibag's Weinfelden site is scheduled to start in 2022. According to information, the concept covers all aspects of the processing of mineral waste (e.g. gravel, concrete and mixed demolition waste) and its return to the building materials cycle.<\/p>\n

The wet-mechanical processing plant to be built on the current Kibag site will have a fully automated, modern optical sorting system, according to the company. The processed raw materials would meet the highest quality standards and be used for the production of concrete and other gravel products. The recycled concrete will be produced directly on site in the concrete plant that is also being built, Kibag writes.<\/p>\n

Leading role in the circular economy<\/strong><\/p>\n

Taking into account the requirements of the Canton of Thurgau and its \"Concept for the use of recycled materials in building construction and civil engineering\", the future demand for recycled products as well as recycled granulates for private and public construction projects in the region will be sustainably covered, according to Kibag. The canton of Thurgau will thus be able to take a leading role in the implementation of the circular economy.<\/p>\n

The \"Baustoff-City\" site also has a rail connection, which will allow the expected mass flows to be transported over longer distances in an environmentally friendly manner. The electric truck fleets of the cooperation partners Kibag and TIT Imhof will be used for the local supply, as the statement concludes.<\/p>\n
