Aber erst im Jahr 2020 nahm sie richtig Fahrt auf. Wir alle wissen, warum \u2013 und viele von uns geh\u00f6ren zu den rund 300 Millionen t\u00e4glich aktiven Usern (zum Vergleich: Im Dezember 2019 hatte die App circa 10 Millionen t\u00e4gliche Nutzer:innen). So sehen Pandemie-Gewinner:innen aus.<\/p>\r\n<p>Und genau darum geht es im vorliegenden Marken-Check: um das Aussehen. Seit dem Start 2011 hat die App ihr Erscheinungsbild nicht angepasst. Nun war es an der Zeit, aus dem Videochat-Service eine echte Marke zu machen. Mit neuen Dienstleistungen, die \u00fcber das urspr\u00fcngliche Angebot hinausgehen \u2013 Team-Chat, Meetings, Whiteboards, Live-Events, et cetera.<\/p>\r\n<p>\u00abZoom wird zur Kommunikationsplattform, wird sich weiterentwickeln und expandieren\u00bb, sagt Chief Marketing Officer Janine Pelosi. Zoom weiss, dass das hybride Arbeiten bleibt und die New-Work-Zeitenwende l\u00e4ngst angebrochen ist. Nun setzt das Unternehmen seine Markenbekanntheit ein, um das Portfolio auszubauen und zu kommunizieren. Und das machen sie ph\u00e4nomenal gut: Sie nutzen einfach ihr Logo, dessen lautmalerischen Klang sowie die bildhafte Bedeutung des Wortes \u00abZoom\u00bb.<\/p>\r\n<p>Jedes animierte \u00abo\u00bb steht nun f\u00fcr einen Service \u2013 Anzahl in Zukunft offen \u2013 augenblicklich sind es sechs: Zoooooom! In einer einfachen Animation wird die ganze Story erz\u00e4hlt und bleibt sofort im Kopf.<\/p>\r\n<div class=\"wp-video\" style=\"width: 768px\"><!-- [if lt IE 9]&gt;document.createElement('video');&lt;![endif]--> <video id=\"video-187978-1\" class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\" width=\"768\" height=\"512\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.werbewoche.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Untitled.webm\">https:\/\/www.werbewoche.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Untitled.webm<\/a><\/video><\/div>\r\n<p>Nat\u00fcrlich wurde auch die Typografie angepasst, die Icons sowie der Blauton \u2013 aber das ist nicht der Grund, warum ich diese Arbeit so gelungen finde. Wenn man \u00fcber Brand-Line-Extensions und deren Kommunikation nachdenkt, ist der Kopf schnell voll von Argumenten, Kampagnen und einem Haufen Komplexit\u00e4t. Hier hat jemand im besten Sinne \u00abeinfach nachgedacht\u00bb. Das ganze Potenzial war im Namen und der Marke selbst gegeben \u2013 genau wie der wahrnehmungspsychologische Trigger: Die Bedeutung des Wortes erzeugt bereits das Kopfkino.<\/p>\r\n<p>Auch wenn einige Stimmen dieses Design mit der alten Google-Search-Darstellung (mit ebenfalls vielen \u00abo\u00bb-s) vergleichen und dort eine Kopie vermuten, so ficht dies die Designer des neuen Auftritts meiner Meinung nach nicht an: Denn was bei Google damals nur ein netter Effekt war, ist hier wirklich gutes Branding.<\/p>\r\n<p>Von daher meine Botschaft: Bevor Sie f\u00fcr die Kommunikation eines erweiterten Portfolios in grossen, neuen Kampagnen, Visuals und Konzepten denken, schauen Sie doch bei Ihrer bestehenden Marke genauer hin. Vielleicht ist der Schatz bereits dort vergraben. Sie m\u00fcssen ihn nur heben \u2013 oder heben lassen.<\/p>\r\n<p>Bei diesem Branding-Schritt wird es \u00fcbrigens nicht bleiben; Zoom k\u00fcndigt bereits weitere Design-Innovationen an. Am 8 und 9. November 2022 werden diese auf der hauseigenen \u00abZoomtopia\u00bb-Konferenz vorgestellt.
