A sustainable event minimizes environmental impact, takes social needs into account and promotes economic sustainability.<\/p>\n<p>Major events can create real win-win situations: Environmentally conscious measures conserve resources and save costs. Travel accounts for around 70% of an event's CO2 emissions and is the biggest lever.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Reduce<\/strong>Create a CO2 balance sheet for the event. In addition to travel, this includes accommodation (15%), catering (10%) and energy consumption (5%).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Compensate<\/strong>Offset remaining emissions through climate protection projects and CO2 certificates.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Green ticket option<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>NextEvent's Green Ticket Option promotes environmentally friendly events.
