The sponsor and initiator of the Prix SVC awards is the SVC, an independent association for the promotion and support of SMEs in Switzerland. With the Prix SVC Espace Mittelland, it honors exemplary companies that impress with their innovative products and services, their corporate culture, the quality of their employees and management and their sustainable track record.<\/p>\n

It is not possible for SMEs themselves to apply for a nomination for the Prix SVC. The selection of companies and the nominations for the Prix SVC are made exclusively by an independent jury of experts with strong regional roots. Its president, J\u00fcrg Schwarzenbach, founder and owner of Marcaro AG and known to the general public as an investor from the TV show \"Die H\u00f6hle der L\u00f6wen\", is enthusiastic about the quality of the 2025 finalists: \"During the nomination process, we once again got to know five outstanding and inspiring companies, all of which are 'beacons' of the Espace Mittelland economic region. Each of the five finalist companies is a worthy winner and I am very much looking forward to the exciting final of the Prix SVC next spring.\"<\/p>\n

The award ceremony will take place on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, in the Kursaal Bern. Around 1,300 guests from the worlds of business, science, politics and culture are expected to attend. The Prix SVC Espace Mittelland was first awarded in 2003 and will be held for the fifteenth time in 2025.<\/p>\n

The 2025 finalists: Five compelling success stories from the Espace Mittelland<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Gasser Ceramic - Brickworks Rapperswil Louis Gasser AG, Rapperswil BE<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Gasser Ceramic Group is a construction supplier specializing in ceramic building products such as bricks and tiles. The long-established family business is a leader in developments for perfecting the building envelope. Its roof tiles, bricks and photovoltaic products ensure a healthy indoor climate, a pleasant living environment and optimum energy efficiency. With around 200 employees, 10 production lines and six kilns at four locations, Gasser Ceramic is one of the leading Swiss manufacturers in this field. Megasol Energie AG, Deitingen SO<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Megasol Energie AG is one of the world's leading manufacturers of building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV). It develops intelligent mounting systems and, in addition to standard modules, also manufactures special solutions in individual designs and various colors. Since 1926, Olwo has developed into a central production, trading and service company in the Swiss timber industry and is a hub of the Bernese timber industry. Olwo's production facilities include two sawmills in Worb and Erlenbach and a planing mill in Stalden. The company also trades in wood-based materials. The company's target customers are carpenters, joiners, roofers, construction companies, architects and building owners. Olwo AG is part of an independent family holding company and is now managed by the third and fourth generation.
