What began years ago as a simple mobility campaign is now a firmly established part of a modern work culture. Companies from all sectors use bike to work to bring movement into the working day and connect employees with each other. And in a playful, uncomplicated way. This is also the case at Lungenliga Ost, where the bike to work challenge is a permanent fixture in the calendar - not as an obligation, but out of conviction: \"It doesn't take much to make a difference,\" says Ursina Raymann, Head of Health Promotion and Prevention. \"A bike, a team, a goal - and suddenly exercise is part of everyday life again.\" The community aspect is particularly motivating: \"When over 100,000 people take part, you feel that you are part of something bigger.\" \u00a0<\/p>\n

1500 prizes worth over 140,000 francs \u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

One of the secrets of the bike to work challenge's success lies in the team spirit: cyclists ride in teams of four, motivate each other, laugh and sometimes complain - about rain and headwinds. Those who persevere are not only in a better mood, but also have the chance to win one of almost 1500 prizes with a total value of over 140,000 francs. The bike to work participants from Lungenliga Ost are also competing to cover the most kilometers. And that's not all: the creative team names make people smile internally. \u00a0<\/p>\n

bike to work gets employees cycling <\/strong><\/h3>\n

The bike to work challenge not only puts people in a good mood, but also has a long-term effect: \"Thanks to bike to work, one Lungenliga Ost employee has started cycling again after many years. Today she cycles almost every day - even in the rain,\" says Ursina Raymann. Raymann's view of cycling has also changed: \"I consciously plan detours - not because I have to, but because it's good for me.\" Her tip for newcomers: \"Don't be too hard on yourself. Every kilometer counts. And: celebrate yourself when you keep going.\"<\/p>\n

Internal communication is key to motivating employees to take part in the bike to work challenge: for example, Lungenliga Ost provides regular information via email and flyers as well as personal advice from a coordinator. The aim is to get even more colleagues on two wheels every year.\u00a0<\/p>\n
