The FHNW will offer a new degree program in Security, Platforms & DevOps starting in the spring semester of 2026. (Symbolic image; Depositphotos.com)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The digital infrastructure of companies, public authorities, and organizations is under considerable pressure today: cyberattacks are on the rise, software landscapes are becoming more complex, and the demand for reliable, scalable platforms is growing rapidly. The market requires specialists who take a holistic approach to security, operation, and development.<\/p>\n

To specifically address this growing demand, the FHNW School of Computer Science will be offering a new degree program in Security, Platforms & DevOps starting in the spring semester of 2026. It is part of the FHNW Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and is aimed at people who not only want to develop software, but also want to operate it securely and continuously develop it throughout its entire life cycle.<\/p>\n

With a focus on digital security, platform technologies, and flexible software architecture, this field of study teaches the skills needed to make digital infrastructures secure, scalable, and future-proof. Students learn to design robust systems, identify cyber risks, and operate productive software environments in collaboration with industry partners.<\/p>\n

Early on in their studies, students deepen their knowledge in areas such as cybersecurity, cloud technologies, and DevOps. Around 40 percent of the program focuses on these topics. The combination of sound fundamentals, practical specialization, and teamwork optimally prepares graduates for their career start. The program thus offers a targeted response to the growing demand for skilled workers in this field.<\/p>\n

The program will start in February 2026 at the Brugg-Windisch campus and can be completed in various formats, from full-time to part-time.<\/p>\n
