Energy from the sun and wind is clean, renewable and inexhaustible. But how can this energy be used when its production is reduced due to the weather? The answer lies in intelligent energy storage systems. They ensure that the lights stay on even on windless nights, stabilize the electricity grids and prevent valuable energy from being lost. Instead, it is stored, shifted and used at the right moment.<\/p>\n

Independence from fossil fuels<\/h3>\n

The importance of energy storage goes far beyond mere availability: the better energy can be stored, the less dependent Switzerland will be on coal, oil and gas. Storage systems make it possible to use renewable energies on a large scale and thus pave the way to a sustainable future. Energy storage systems are the key to the energy transition and ensure that energy is available when it is needed - and not just when it is generated.<\/p>\n

Practical one-day course with experts<\/h3>\n

On 17 June 2026, the Swiss Energy Cluster is organizing a one-day course on energy storage at the Switzerland Innovation Park Biel\/Bienne. From 8.30 a.m. to 4 p.m., participants can look forward to exciting presentations from leading institutions and companies. The course offers a well-founded and practical insight into the key aspects of modern storage solutions.<\/p>\n

The Bern University of Applied Sciences, Jenni Energietechnik, B-Solartec, the Swiss Federal Office of Energy, Green Energy Venture, Smartgridready, Solar Manager, Cr Energie, Gerber Energietechnik and Solstis Energy are also taking part. The participating organizations and companies offer a wide range of perspectives from research, practice and industry.<\/p>\n

Investing in intelligent storage solutions today creates the basis for a stable, sustainable and independent energy future. The one-day course is aimed at experts and decision-makers who want to get to grips with modern storage technologies.<\/p>\n
