Pour la premi\u00e8re fois, une banque est r\u00e9compens\u00e9e par le Swiss Ethics Award. La Banque Alternative Suisse (BAS) montre qu'il est possible de pratiquer la banque avec succ\u00e8s en s'engageant fortement sur le plan \u00e9thique. Cette banque \u00e0 vocation sociale et \u00e9cologique a \u00e9t\u00e9 fond\u00e9e en 1990 et est aujourd'hui soutenue par plus de 7500 actionnaires. Le projet gagnant de la BAS vise \u00e0 prot\u00e9ger le climat et met en \u00e9vidence le r\u00f4le important des flux financiers.<\/p>\n

L'exploitation d'une banque ne g\u00e9n\u00e8re que peu d'\u00e9missions directes de CO2. En revanche, les flux financiers g\u00e9r\u00e9s par les banques ont un impact massif.<\/p>\n

Transparence\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

La BAS s'est pench\u00e9e sur ce th\u00e8me et montre comment la protection du climat peut \u00eatre appliqu\u00e9e et mise en \u0153uvre dans les activit\u00e9s bancaires. Dans ses directives de placement et de cr\u00e9dit, elle a d\u00e9fini des crit\u00e8res d'exclusion et d'encouragement pour les domaines dans lesquels elle ne souhaite pas investir. Ainsi, les entreprises qui contribuent de mani\u00e8re significative au changement climatique sont exclues. Les secteurs nuisibles au climat sont exclus. Les titres de pays qui ne respectent pas la protection du climat et qui ne s'engagent pas \u00e0 respecter les objectifs climatiques internationaux ne sont pas pris en compte. En revanche, les secteurs d'activit\u00e9 qui permettent un impact positif sur la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 et l'environnement sont encourag\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

En 2016, la BAS a \u00e9t\u00e9 la premi\u00e8re banque suisse \u00e0 publier l'empreinte carbone de ses placements et \u00e0 montrer de mani\u00e8re transparente comment elle contribue \u00e0 une \u00e9conomie respectueuse du climat gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ses activit\u00e9s de placement. Le jury lui a d\u00e9cern\u00e9 le Swiss Ethics Award pour ce vaste engagement dans le domaine de la protection du climat.<\/p>\n
