En \u00e9t\u00e9, l'\u00e9nergie renouvelable exc\u00e9dentaire - par exemple l'\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 solaire - est transform\u00e9e en hydrog\u00e8ne (H2). Celui-ci est ensuite stock\u00e9 avec du dioxyde de carbone (CO2) dans des r\u00e9servoirs souterrains naturels \u00e0 plus de 1000 m\u00e8tres de profondeur. Des micro-organismes y combinent l'hydrog\u00e8ne et le carbone pour produire du m\u00e9thane (CH4), un gaz renouvelable. En hiver, l'\u00e9nergie peut \u00eatre retir\u00e9e des r\u00e9servoirs et utilis\u00e9e. Les deux entreprises \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques veulent continuer \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper cette technologie de conversion solaire souterraine (m\u00e9thanisation du CO2 et du H2) brevet\u00e9e par RAG et concevoir des services bas\u00e9s sur cette technologie. Pour ce faire, des essais sur le terrain sont d\u00e9j\u00e0 en cours sur le site de recherche de RAG \u00e0 Pilsbach en Autriche, comme l'indique Energie 360\u00b0.<\/p>\n<p>Le fonctionnement de la solution de stockage est pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 ici :\u00a0<a href=\"\/\/www.umweltperspektiven.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Kreislauf_Underground_Sun_Conversion.pdf\">Circuit_Underground_Sun_Conversion<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Le projet v\u00e9rifie la viabilit\u00e9 commerciale<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Le \"futur profil \u00e9lectrique de la Suisse\" de l'Empa le montre : Le profil \u00e9lectrique ne sera durable que si l'\u00e9nergie renouvelable stock\u00e9e en \u00e9t\u00e9 couvre les d\u00e9ficits d'\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 en hiver, qui seront encore plus importants \u00e0 l'avenir en raison de l'utilisation accrue des pompes \u00e0 chaleur et de la p\u00e9n\u00e9tration du march\u00e9 par la mobilit\u00e9 \u00e9lectrique. Pour la Suisse, Energie 360\u00b0 et RAG adaptent donc maintenant le projet USC-FlexStore avec les partenaires suisses du projet issus de la recherche et du d\u00e9veloppement, notamment l'Universit\u00e9 de Berne, l'OST et l'Empa. Andreas Kunz, responsable des installations \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques chez Energie 360\u00b0 : \"Nous travaillons ensemble \u00e0 la solution de l'un des plus grands d\u00e9fis du syst\u00e8me \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique de demain : comment faire progresser les sources d'\u00e9nergie renouvelables volatiles comme le soleil et le vent tout en garantissant la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 d'approvisionnement tout au long de l'ann\u00e9e ?\". USC-FlexStore examine les exigences technologiques, (\u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques) \u00e9conomiques et environnementales pour une utilisation intersectorielle. La capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 l'ann\u00e9e de l'USC-FlexStore doit \u00eatre d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e en un service commercialisable. L'avantage par rapport aux centrales de pompage-turbinage ou aux batteries r\u00e9side dans la capacit\u00e9 de stockage beaucoup plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e - tout en n\u00e9cessitant peu de surface.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>L'aide de l'\u00c9tat confirm\u00e9e<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>USC-FlexStore a \u00e9t\u00e9 s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 pour un financement par l'ERA-Net europ\u00e9en d\u00e8s l'\u00e9t\u00e9. Par la suite, les partenaires du projet ont conclu un accord de consortium transnational ainsi que des accords de financement r\u00e9gionaux avec les organismes de financement des diff\u00e9rents pays. En Suisse, il s'agit de l'Office f\u00e9d\u00e9ral de l'\u00e9nergie, en Autriche de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 autrichienne de promotion de la recherche.
