Ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, l'\u00e9volution du secteur FinTech suisse n'a connu qu'une seule direction : la hausse. Alors que par le pass\u00e9, la taille du secteur, mesur\u00e9e par le nombre d'entreprises FinTech suisses actives, augmentait d'ann\u00e9e en ann\u00e9e, on constate pour la premi\u00e8re fois un recul pour l'ann\u00e9e 2021. Fin 2021, la Suisse comptait 384 entreprises FinTech, ce qui correspond \u00e0 un recul de 21 entreprises par rapport \u00e0 l'ann\u00e9e pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente ou, en termes relatifs, \u00e0 une baisse d'environ 5 %. Malgr\u00e9 cette \u00e9volution \u00e0 premi\u00e8re vue n\u00e9gative, des tendances positives se d\u00e9gagent \u00e9galement en ce qui concerne les mod\u00e8les d'affaires des entreprises. Par exemple, la valeur m\u00e9diane du nombre de collaborateurs et celle du financement total ont augment\u00e9 l'ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re pour les entreprises FinTech suisses. Ceci apr\u00e8s que ces chiffres aient stagn\u00e9, voire recul\u00e9, l'ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re. En outre, l'activit\u00e9 de capital-risque dans le secteur FinTech suisse a atteint un niveau record en 2021, tant en termes de nombre de tours de financement que de volume.<\/p>\n

Analytics, intelligence artificielle et big data sont plus que des mots \u00e0 la mode<\/h2>\n

Au fil des ann\u00e9es, de plus en plus d'entreprises FinTech suisses ont mis\u00e9 sur des innovations technologiques telles que l'analytique, l'intelligence artificielle ou le big data. Cela contraste avec d'autres technologies pour lesquelles le nombre d'entreprises FinTech a diminu\u00e9 l'ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re. L'importance des activit\u00e9s analytiques devrait encore augmenter \u00e0 l'avenir, notamment parce que le potentiel de l'utilisation des donn\u00e9es dans le secteur financier est de plus en plus reconnu, mais pas encore pleinement exploit\u00e9. \"Les \u00e9tablissements traditionnels manquent parfois des ressources et des comp\u00e9tences correspondantes\", explique Thomas Ankenbrand, enseignant \u00e0 la Haute \u00e9cole de Lucerne et responsable du projet de l'\u00e9tude. Les entreprises FinTech devraient donc continuer \u00e0 l'avenir \u00e0 agir en tant que fournisseurs de services correspondants.<\/p>\n

Une strat\u00e9gie internationale est payante dans le secteur FinTech<\/h2>\n

La tendance des entreprises FinTech \u00e0 se concentrer sur les mod\u00e8les d'affaires B2B s'est encore accentu\u00e9e l'ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re. En plus de se concentrer davantage sur les clients commerciaux, comme les banques ou d'autres prestataires de services financiers, les FinTech suisses sont principalement orient\u00e9es vers l'international. \"Le march\u00e9 domestique suisse, dont la croissance est faible, est souvent trop petit pour les entreprises FinTech en qu\u00eate de croissance\", fait remarquer l'expert de la HSLU. Le succ\u00e8s d'une orientation internationale se refl\u00e8te \u00e9galement dans l'\u00e9volution des cours des entreprises FinTech cot\u00e9es en bourse dans le monde. Depuis 2015, leur performance est meilleure que celle des entreprises FinTech \u00e0 orientation nationale. Il en va de m\u00eame pour les entreprises qui se concentrent sur les clients commerciaux par rapport \u00e0 celles qui servent (\u00e9galement) les clients priv\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

La durabilit\u00e9 devient la nouvelle norme<\/h2>\n

La prise en compte de crit\u00e8res environnementaux, sociaux et de gouvernance dans les d\u00e9cisions financi\u00e8res est en train de devenir la nouvelle normalit\u00e9. Dans le secteur FinTech suisse, relativement peu d'entreprises ont actuellement un focus strat\u00e9gique d\u00e9di\u00e9 \u00e0 la durabilit\u00e9. La plupart d'entre elles se concentrent sur le domaine de la gestion de fortune et visent les trois dimensions de la durabilit\u00e9 (ESG : Environmental, Social, Governance).<\/p>\n

Sur la place financi\u00e8re suisse, une tendance se dessine en outre en faveur d'\u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes financiers ouverts (mot-cl\u00e9 \"Open Finance\"). \"Dans le domaine de la gestion de fortune en particulier, l'Open Finance offre de bonnes chances de succ\u00e8s\", explique Ankenbrand. Selon les auteurs de l'\u00e9tude, cela s'explique par la taille globale du march\u00e9 et la part de march\u00e9 suisse. En outre, selon l'enqu\u00eate men\u00e9e dans le cadre de l'\u00e9tude, les banques suisses ont confirm\u00e9 le potentiel des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes financiers en tant que mod\u00e8le commercial futur. \"Pour r\u00e9aliser ce potentiel, il est toutefois n\u00e9cessaire d'adopter \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle des normes communes, ce que les banques et les FinTech ont actuellement du mal \u00e0 faire, m\u00eame si des initiatives correspondantes et des plateformes \u00e9volutives sont d\u00e9j\u00e0 disponibles et op\u00e9rationnelles en Suisse\", conclut Ankenbrand.<\/p>\n

Le Metaverse va-t-il aider la technologie blockchain \u00e0 percer ?<\/h2>\n

Le m\u00e9tavers, qui peut \u00eatre d\u00e9crit, pour simplifier, comme l'\u00e9volution d'Internet vers un monde virtuel tridimensionnel, est promu par l'industrie du jeu ainsi que par les entreprises BigTech et Blockchain. M\u00eame si les motivations et les objectifs sont diff\u00e9rents, un renforcement des droits de propri\u00e9t\u00e9 et de disposition des donn\u00e9es par des structures d\u00e9centralis\u00e9es se dessine. Thomas Ankenbrand : \"La technologie blockchain peut jouer un r\u00f4le central \u00e0 cet \u00e9gard.
