(Depositphtos_Image-symbole)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>L'Office f\u00e9d\u00e9ral de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 alimentaire et des affaires v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaires (OSAV) avait re\u00e7u le mandat d'effectuer une premi\u00e8re \u00e9tude sur le glyphosate en 2016 suite \u00e0 un postulat du Conseil national. Les r\u00e9sultats devraient \u00eatre publi\u00e9s \"dans quelques semaines\" sous la forme d'un rapport, comme l'a fait savoir l'office d\u00e9but novembre.<\/p>\n<p>Toutefois, les premi\u00e8res conclusions du monitoring des denr\u00e9es alimentaires ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 mises en ligne sur le site Internet de l'OFAG. Le \"SonntagsBlick\" a attir\u00e9 l'attention sur ce point ce week-end. Plus de 230 \u00e9chantillons de denr\u00e9es alimentaires ont \u00e9t\u00e9 analys\u00e9s dans le cadre du monitoring afin de d\u00e9tecter des r\u00e9sidus de glyphosate, un produit phytosanitaire \u00e9galement utilis\u00e9 en Suisse. Le miel, le vin, le pain, les pommes de terre ou les l\u00e9gumes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 examin\u00e9s \u00e0 la loupe.<\/p>\n<p><strong>P\u00e2tes et flocons de c\u00e9r\u00e9ales<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Les premiers r\u00e9sultats montrent qu'environ 40 pour cent des aliments contiennent des traces mesurables de glyphosate, \u00e9crit l'OFAG sur son site Internet. Les concentrations les plus \u00e9lev\u00e9es ont \u00e9t\u00e9 trouv\u00e9es dans les p\u00e2tes, les flocons pour le petit-d\u00e9jeuner et les l\u00e9gumineuses. Toutefois, les quantit\u00e9s de glyphosate mesur\u00e9es sont toutes inf\u00e9rieures aux valeurs limites l\u00e9gales.<\/p>\n<p>Le monitoring n'est pas encore termin\u00e9, mais cette premi\u00e8re \u00e9valuation confirme que les r\u00e9sidus de glyphosate dans les aliments ne pr\u00e9sentent aucun risque pour la sant\u00e9, ajoutent-ils. Pour illustrer l'absence de danger \u00e0 consommer des aliments contenant des traces de glyphosate, les auteurs prennent l'exemple des p\u00e2tes alimentaires. En effet, celles-ci repr\u00e9sentent la cat\u00e9gorie d'aliments la plus contamin\u00e9e. Une personne adulte devrait consommer 71 kilogrammes de l'\u00e9chantillon le plus contamin\u00e9 par jour pour absorber la dose journali\u00e8re maximale acceptable de 30 milligrammes, \u00e9crit l'OFAG. Or, les Suisses consomment en moyenne 10 kilos de p\u00e2tes par an, soit nettement moins que ce qu'ils pourraient consommer en une seule journ\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Canc\u00e9rig\u00e8ne selon l'OMS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Le glyphosate est l'herbicide le plus utilis\u00e9 au monde. En Suisse, on estime que 300 tonnes sont utilis\u00e9es chaque ann\u00e9e. En 2015, le Centre international de recherche sur le cancer de l'Organisation mondiale de la sant\u00e9 (OMS) a class\u00e9 le glyphosate comme \"probablement canc\u00e9rig\u00e8ne\" pour l'homme. En revanche, les autorit\u00e9s alimentaires de l'UE, l'EFSA, et l'Agence europ\u00e9enne des produits chimiques, l'ECHA, ont conclu que les preuves scientifiques disponibles n'\u00e9taient pas suffisantes pour une telle classification. L'autorisation du glyphosate dans l'UE est actuellement en cours de r\u00e9vision. Jusqu'\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent, aucune majorit\u00e9 ne s'est d\u00e9gag\u00e9e en faveur d'une prolongation de l'autorisation de<\/p>\n<p><strong>L'Office f\u00e9d\u00e9ral souhaite augmenter la valeur limite<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>L'Office f\u00e9d\u00e9ral de l'environnement veut multiplier par 3600 la valeur limite du glyphosate dans les ruisseaux, les rivi\u00e8res et les lacs. Actuellement, la valeur limite est de 0,1 microgramme par litre d'eau, et dans cinq ans, elle sera peut-\u00eatre de 360. Si cela devait se produire, les agriculteurs suisses pourraient pulv\u00e9riser dans le paysage plusieurs fois la quantit\u00e9 de glyhosate qu'ils utilisent aujourd'hui.<\/p>\n<p>Le Conseil f\u00e9d\u00e9ral est oppos\u00e9 \u00e0 une interdiction du glyphosate en Suisse. Une interdiction du glyphosate serait probl\u00e9matique pour diff\u00e9rentes raisons, \u00e9crit le gouvernement dans sa r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 une motion du groupe des Verts publi\u00e9e jeudi. Pour de nombreux domaines d'application, la seule alternative actuelle est la destruction m\u00e9canique ou thermique. Ces m\u00e9thodes de lutte n\u00e9cessitent plus d'\u00e9nergie et de travail, pr\u00e9cise l'ats.<\/p>\n<p>Entre-temps, l'initiative populaire \"Pour une eau potable propre et une alimentation saine\" tente d'entraver ces objectifs.
