(Copyright : Chocolats Halba)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Aujourd'hui, 41 acteurs de la branche suisse du cacao se sont regroup\u00e9s en une association ind\u00e9pendante, la Plateforme suisse pour le cacao durable. La nouvelle association promeut la durabilit\u00e9 dans le secteur du cacao. Parmi les membres fondateurs figurent l'association sectorielle CHOCOSUISSE, des fabricants, des importateurs et des commer\u00e7ants de produits contenant du cacao, des d\u00e9taillants suisses, le Secr\u00e9tariat d'Etat \u00e0 l'\u00e9conomie (SECO), des organisations \u00e0 but non lucratif ainsi que des instituts de recherche. \"Cette initiative commune du secteur priv\u00e9, des pouvoirs publics, de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile et des instituts de recherche est une \u00e9tape importante sur la voie d'une cha\u00eene de valeur durable du cacao\", d\u00e9clare Ernst A. Brugger, pr\u00e9sident de la Plateforme cacao.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Objectif : 80% de cacao durable<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Les membres de la Plateforme Cacao se sont fix\u00e9 un objectif ambitieux et contraignant : \"D'ici 2025, au moins 80% des produits contenant du cacao import\u00e9s en Suisse seront issus de l'agriculture durable\", d\u00e9clare Walter Anderau, ancien pr\u00e9sident de l'association interprofessionnelle CHOCOSUISSE. \"Cela concerne les f\u00e8ves de cacao, la masse, le beurre et la poudre de cacao, ainsi que les produits finis import\u00e9s. Et cela exige que le cacao soit cultiv\u00e9 de mani\u00e8re socialement, \u00e9cologiquement et \u00e9conomiquement responsable\". A long terme, l'ensemble du flux physique de produits contenant du cacao vers la Suisse doit provenir de cultures durables.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Projets communs de d\u00e9veloppement durable<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pour atteindre cet objectif, la plateforme cacao encourage des projets communs ayant un impact mesurable. \"Cette association nouvellement cr\u00e9\u00e9e permet de mettre en r\u00e9seau et de renforcer les efforts du secteur priv\u00e9, des pouvoirs publics, de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile et des instituts de recherche en faveur du cacao durable\", explique Esther Haldimann, responsable du service de conseil chez Helvetas et repr\u00e9sentante du secteur des ONG au sein du comit\u00e9 directeur fra\u00eechement \u00e9lu. \"La plateforme utilise l'expertise de ses membres pour d\u00e9velopper et mettre en \u0153uvre des solutions innovantes. Cette collaboration renforce les synergies et permet un impact plus important\".<\/p>\n<p><strong>Obtenir des am\u00e9liorations mesurables<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La Plateforme Cacao veut obtenir des am\u00e9liorations mesurables en temps r\u00e9el. C'est pourquoi elle concentre ses activit\u00e9s sur les domaines dans lesquels ses membres disposent d'une grande exp\u00e9rience et peuvent apporter une contribution au niveau mondial. Des groupes de travail ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper des solutions pour certains th\u00e8mes centraux.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Une contribution aux objectifs de d\u00e9veloppement durable de l'ONU<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Avec son initiative pour un secteur du cacao durable, la plateforme cacao, lanc\u00e9e en juin 2017, veut contribuer aux objectifs de durabilit\u00e9 que poursuivent les \u00c9tats membres de l'ONU et aussi la Suisse. \"Dans le cadre de l'Agenda 2030 mondial, cette nouvelle initiative peut contribuer \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer les conditions de vie des personnes vivant dans les pays producteurs et \u00e0 pr\u00e9server les ressources\", explique la directrice du SECO Marie-Gabrielle Ineichen-Fleisch. \"L'un des principaux atouts de la plateforme cacao est qu'elle cr\u00e9e un cadre pour une coop\u00e9ration plus \u00e9troite entre le secteur priv\u00e9 et les pouvoirs publics. Ainsi, la coop\u00e9ration \u00e9conomique au d\u00e9veloppement que nous menons dans diff\u00e9rents pays producteurs de cacao peut avoir plus d'impact\".<\/p>\n<p><strong>Un r\u00e9seau international fort<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La Plateforme Cacao s'engage pour une coop\u00e9ration \u00e9troite avec tous les acteurs importants du secteur mondial du cacao. Elle encourage le dialogue avec les autorit\u00e9s et organisations locales dans les pays producteurs et coordonne ses mesures avec les initiatives internationales et nationales.
