(Image : Empa)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Les chercheurs de l'Empa ont une nouvelle fois am\u00e9lior\u00e9 le rendement des cellules solaires flexibles CIGS. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.organisator.ch\/de\/sustainability\/2021-09-07\/neuer-wirkungsgradrekord-bei-flexiblen-solarzellen\/\">L'ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re d\u00e9j\u00e0, un record avait \u00e9t\u00e9 annonc\u00e9<\/a>. Des mesures certifi\u00e9es par un organisme ind\u00e9pendant indiquent d\u00e9sormais une valeur de 22,2% pour la conversion de la lumi\u00e8re en \u00e9lectricit\u00e9, ce qui repr\u00e9sente une am\u00e9lioration par rapport \u00e0 la valeur record pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente de 21,4%. \u00c0 titre de comparaison, le rendement maximal d'une cellule solaire rigide en silicium cristallin est de 26,7%. L'\u00e9quipe dirig\u00e9e par Romain Carron, chef de groupe au Laboratoire des couches minces et du photovolta\u00efque de l'Empa, sous la direction d'Ayodhya N. Tiwari, a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 ses derniers r\u00e9sultats lors de la \"8e World Conference on Photovoltaic Energy Conversion\" (WCPEC-8), le 26 septembre 2022 \u00e0 Milan.<\/p>\n<h3>Une couche mince de semi-conducteur encore optimis\u00e9e<\/h3>\n<p>Les cellules solaires flexibles sont trait\u00e9es sur un film polym\u00e8re avec une couche semi-conductrice absorbant la lumi\u00e8re, compos\u00e9e d'un compos\u00e9 cuivre-indium-gadolinium-s\u00e9l\u00e9nium. Cette couche min\u00e9rale est d\u00e9pos\u00e9e par un proc\u00e9d\u00e9 de co-\u00e9vaporation \u00e0 basse temp\u00e9rature. Le scientifique de l'Empa Shiro Nishiwaki a modifi\u00e9 la composition de la couche afin d'am\u00e9liorer la puissance et la tension de sortie des cellules. \"Deux approches diff\u00e9rentes de l'alliage du cristal ont conduit \u00e0 une am\u00e9lioration similaire de la performance du dispositif\", explique Romain Carron. Par cons\u00e9quent, les r\u00e9sultats peuvent \u00eatre transpos\u00e9s \u00e0 l'\u00e9chelle industrielle de diff\u00e9rentes mani\u00e8res, mais avec des r\u00e9sultats \u00e9quivalents. Le rendement de la cellule solaire de 22,2% a \u00e9t\u00e9 confirm\u00e9 de mani\u00e8re ind\u00e9pendante \u00e0 l'Institut Fraunhofer pour les syst\u00e8mes \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques solaires ISE \u00e0 Fribourg.<\/p>\n<h3>Les cellules solaires flexibles : Un domaine de recherche depuis 1999<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Ayodhya Tiwari et son \u00e9quipe m\u00e8nent des recherches sur les cellules solaires flexibles \u00e0 couches minces depuis plus de 23 ans. Au fil des ans, ils ont \u00e9tabli plusieurs records d'efficacit\u00e9. Leur \"s\u00e9rie de records\" a commenc\u00e9 en 1999 avec un rendement de 12,8%, puis est pass\u00e9e \u00e0 14,1% (2005), 17,6% (2010), 18,7% (2011) et 20,4 %(2013) pour finalement atteindre 20,8% en 2019 et 21,4% en 2021. Cependant, compte tenu des rendements d\u00e9j\u00e0 tr\u00e8s \u00e9lev\u00e9s, toute augmentation, m\u00eame minime, n\u00e9cessite une \u00e9tude approfondie des facteurs limitant la conversion de l'\u00e9nergie et des approches innovantes pour y faire face, est-il pr\u00e9cis\u00e9. L'augmentation actuelle du rendement est due \u00e0 l'alliage de la couche semi-conductrice absorbant la lumi\u00e8re, dont les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s \u00e9lectroniques ont \u00e9t\u00e9 am\u00e9lior\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<h3>Un large \u00e9ventail d'applications<\/h3>\n<div class=\"std-paragraph-block\">\n<div class=\"std-art-paragraph\">\n<p>Les modules solaires flexibles et l\u00e9gers utilisant cette technologie sont particuli\u00e8rement adapt\u00e9s aux applications sur les toits et les fa\u00e7ades des b\u00e2timents, sur les serres, les v\u00e9hicules et les dirigeables ainsi que pour l'\u00e9lectronique portable. L'Empa travaille avec l'entreprise suisse Flisom sur la fabrication roll-to-roll de modules solaires l\u00e9gers et flexibles pour de telles applications.
