(Image : Pixabay.com)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Partout, la Suisse occupe les premi\u00e8res places : En mati\u00e8re de capacit\u00e9 d'innovation, de charge fiscale, de comp\u00e9titivit\u00e9, etc. En revanche, le classement de notre pays en mati\u00e8re de protection du climat est plut\u00f4t peu glorieux : En l'espace d'un an, la Suisse perd sept places au Climate Change Performance Index (CCPI). L'UE ou des pays comme l'\u00c9gypte ou Malte se classent d\u00e9sormais plus haut. Le Climate Change Performance Index (CCPI), publi\u00e9 par l'organisation environnementale Germanwatch, le NewClimate Institute et le Climate Action Network, \u00e9value les efforts de protection du climat de 59 pays et de l'ensemble de l'Union europ\u00e9enne. Ils font tous partie des plus grands \u00e9metteurs mondiaux. Un classement actualis\u00e9 est pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 chaque ann\u00e9e au moment de la conf\u00e9rence des Nations unies sur le climat. Cette ann\u00e9e, le Danemark, la Su\u00e8de et le Chili occupent respectivement les 4e, 5e et 6e places du classement. Les trois premi\u00e8res places ne sont pas attribu\u00e9es, car aucun des pays pris en compte ne fait les efforts n\u00e9cessaires pour limiter le r\u00e9chauffement climatique \u00e0 1,5 degr\u00e9 maximum.<\/p>\n<h3>Greenpeace : La Suisse se d\u00e9robe \u00e0 la protection du climat<\/h3>\n<p>Les r\u00e9sultats peu enthousiasmants de la Suisse apportent de l'eau au moulin des organisations environnementales. \"La chute de la Suisse ne me surprend pas\", d\u00e9clare Georg Klingler, expert en climat et \u00e9nergie chez Greenpeace Suisse. \"La Suisse ne respecte pas les engagements pris dans le cadre de l'Accord de Paris et ne fait pas assez pour r\u00e9duire ses \u00e9missions en Suisse et \u00e0 l'\u00e9tranger. Notre pays se trouve sur une voie qui m\u00e8ne \u00e0 un r\u00e9chauffement global de 3 degr\u00e9s. Cela a de graves cons\u00e9quences, car un r\u00e9chauffement global de plus de 1,5 degr\u00e9 met d\u00e9j\u00e0 en danger les droits fondamentaux de tous les habitants du pays. J'esp\u00e8re que cela servira de r\u00e9veil au Conseil f\u00e9d\u00e9ral pour qu'il renforce rapidement les efforts de protection du climat sous tous ses aspects. La loi f\u00e9d\u00e9rale sur les objectifs de la protection du climat, l'innovation et le renforcement de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique (contre-projet indirect \u00e0 l'initiative sur les glaciers) doit nous permettre de r\u00e9duire sans d\u00e9lai notre d\u00e9pendance aux \u00e9nergies fossiles\".<\/p>\n<h3>La politique pratique le greenwashing<\/h3>\n<p>Greenpeace ne voit pas d'un bon \u0153il la politique environnementale et climatique de la Suisse, comme elle l'avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 fait dans l'imm\u00e9diat. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.organisator.ch\/de\/sustainability\/2022-11-07\/greenpeace-schweiz-wird-immer-unglaubwuerdiger\/\">communiqu\u00e9 en amont de la conf\u00e9rence COP27 en cours \u00e0 Sharm El-Sheik<\/a> a \u00e9t\u00e9 faite. Selon Greenpeace, la logique du Conseil f\u00e9d\u00e9ral consistant \u00e0 enjoliver les efforts de protection du climat en Suisse par des mesures prises \u00e0 l'\u00e9tranger est particuli\u00e8rement choquante. \"La Suisse a d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9mis de tr\u00e8s nombreux gaz \u00e0 effet de serre par le pass\u00e9. En raison de nos habitudes de consommation, notre pays a des \u00e9missions tr\u00e8s \u00e9lev\u00e9es par habitant, et notre place financi\u00e8re continue d'investir dans le charbon, le p\u00e9trole et le gaz dans le monde entier. Nous devons donc clairement veiller \u00e0 r\u00e9duire les \u00e9missions \u00e0 l'\u00e9tranger. Mais ces r\u00e9ductions ne doivent en aucun cas remplacer les mesures n\u00e9cessaires en Suisse. La politique actuelle n'est rien d'autre que du greenwashing\".<\/p>\n<h3>Une COP27 d\u00e9cevante jusqu'\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent<\/h3>\n<p>Si l'on met le classement en relation avec la conf\u00e9rence climatique COP27, les r\u00e9sultats de la Suisse s'int\u00e8grent bien dans le tableau g\u00e9n\u00e9ral. Jusqu'\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent, la conf\u00e9rence n'a en effet pas apport\u00e9 grand-chose de concret. Les nations industrialis\u00e9es continuent \u00e0 jouer un r\u00f4le de frein. Selon le rapport de l'ONU sur l'\u00e9cart des \u00e9missions, les \u00e9missions mondiales devraient atteindre un nouveau record en 2022, apr\u00e8s avoir bri\u00e8vement baiss\u00e9 en 2021 en raison de la pand\u00e9mie. Le rapport Climate Action Tracker souligne que l'augmentation de la consommation de gaz liquide due \u00e0 la crise \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique, aggrav\u00e9e par la guerre en Ukraine, aura probablement un impact n\u00e9gatif sur la transition vers la neutralit\u00e9 climatique. De plus, en l'absence de r\u00e9glementations plus strictes et de prix formels du carbone, les acteurs publics et priv\u00e9s se tournent de plus en plus vers des mesures de compensation et des initiatives volontaires d'\u00e9change de carbone. Plusieurs pays africains ont ainsi lanc\u00e9 l'Initiative africaine des march\u00e9s du carbone, qui devrait produire 300 millions de cr\u00e9dits carbone par an d'ici 2030, pour une valeur de 6 milliards de dollars. Et c'est avec beaucoup d'\u00e9motion que Vella a annonc\u00e9 le milliardi\u00e8me cr\u00e9dit carbone lors de la COP27.
