(Image : depositphotos)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Il est dit que les Suisses sont sceptiques quant \u00e0 l'efficacit\u00e9 des mesures contre le changement climatique, \"pour ralentir\" le processus. Les Suisses se prononcent \u00e9galement en faveur d'une utilisation accrue des \u00e9nergies renouvelables. Une majorit\u00e9 part du principe que le changement climatique est autant d\u00fb aux activit\u00e9s humaines qu'aux processus naturels.<\/p>\n<p>Les principaux r\u00e9sultats de l'European Social Survey 2016 pour la Suisse sur le th\u00e8me des opinions sur l'environnement :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>98% de la population ne doutent pas de l'existence du changement climatique. La majorit\u00e9 est tr\u00e8s pr\u00e9occup\u00e9e par le changement climatique, mais seuls 44% estiment que le changement climatique est principalement ou enti\u00e8rement d\u00fb aux activit\u00e9s humaines.<\/li>\n<li>En Suisse, la population est sceptique quant aux mesures visant \u00e0 ralentir le changement climatique. Bien que la majorit\u00e9 de la population (66%) consid\u00e8re qu'il est de son devoir personnel de contribuer \u00e0 la lutte contre le changement climatique, seul un tiers (33%) pense que la r\u00e9duction de sa propre consommation d'\u00e9nergie pourrait avoir une influence sur le changement climatique.<\/li>\n<li>Malgr\u00e9 ce scepticisme g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, la population suisse se prononce en faveur d'une consommation responsable. La majorit\u00e9 soutient l'id\u00e9e que l'\u00e9nergie devrait provenir de sources renouvelables. Les personnes interrog\u00e9es se prononcent surtout en faveur de l'\u00e9nergie hydraulique, solaire et \u00e9olienne. Pr\u00e8s de 77% estiment que l'\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire ne devrait pas \u00eatre utilis\u00e9e du tout ou seulement dans une tr\u00e8s faible mesure.<\/li>\n<li>Outre l'inqui\u00e9tude g\u00e9n\u00e9rale concernant le changement climatique, les personnes interrog\u00e9es sont tr\u00e8s pr\u00e9occup\u00e9es par la d\u00e9pendance de la Suisse aux importations d'\u00e9nergie. Plus de la moiti\u00e9 de la population (61%) est pr\u00e9occup\u00e9e par les \u00e9nergies fossiles, notamment l'essence, le gaz et le charbon. 46% de la population craignent en outre une augmentation des prix de l'\u00e9nergie et que cela rende l'\u00e9nergie inabordable pour de nombreuses personnes en Suisse.<\/li>\n<li>Afin de promouvoir l'utilisation des \u00e9nergies renouvelables, 47% sont favorables \u00e0 une augmentation des taxes sur les \u00e9nergies fossiles par le gouvernement. En outre, la majorit\u00e9 soutient l'interdiction l\u00e9gale des appareils \u00e0 forte consommation d'\u00e9nergie. Enfin, plus de 80% se prononcent en faveur du subventionnement des \u00e9nergies renouvelables telles que l'\u00e9nergie \u00e9olienne et solaire. Son objectif est d'\u00e9tudier les attitudes et les comportements de la population europ\u00e9enne dans une perspective comparative. En Suisse, l'enqu\u00eate est men\u00e9e par le centre de comp\u00e9tences suisse en sciences sociales FORS, rattach\u00e9 \u00e0 l'Universit\u00e9 de Lausanne. La Suisse a particip\u00e9 \u00e0 toutes les vagues d'enqu\u00eate pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes de l'ESS, qui ont lieu tous les deux ans.<\/p>\n<p>Les donn\u00e9es de la huiti\u00e8me \u00e9dition de l'ESS ont \u00e9t\u00e9 recueillies lors d'entretiens en face \u00e0 face d'une heure environ avec des personnes \u00e2g\u00e9es de 15 ans et plus. Au total, 23 pays ont particip\u00e9 \u00e0 l'enqu\u00eate.
