L'\u00e9conomie circulaire automobile pourrait permettre de r\u00e9duire de 60% les \u00e9missions de CO2. Une part consid\u00e9rable de ces \u00e9missions est imputable au trafic routier. Si l'on veut minimiser l'impact sur l'environnement tout au long du cycle de vie d'une voiture, il ne faut pas seulement des moteurs neutres en termes d'\u00e9missions, mais aussi des approches innovantes tout au long de la cha\u00eene de cr\u00e9ation de valeur. Cela va de la conception durable de nouveaux mod\u00e8les \u00e0 une meilleure utilisation des v\u00e9hicules existants, en passant par des cycles de mat\u00e9riaux ferm\u00e9s dans la production. Les constructeurs automobiles europ\u00e9ens sont actuellement les leaders mondiaux en mati\u00e8re d'\u00e9conomie circulaire, avec un taux de 40 %, principalement en raison de r\u00e9glementations europ\u00e9ennes strictes. Dans son \u00e9tude \"Reuse, Remanufacturing, Recycling, and Robocabs : Circularity in the Automotive Industry\", le cabinet de conseil international Bain & Company analyse les principaux leviers qui permettent de faire progresser l'\u00e9conomie circulaire automobile dans le monde. Il montre \u00e9galement comment les constructeurs automobiles et les fournisseurs peuvent se pr\u00e9parer \u00e0 cette nouvelle \u00e8re.\r\n

Le recyclage quasi complet des voitures est possible d'ici 2040<\/h3>\r\nActuellement, le secteur de la mobilit\u00e9 repr\u00e9sente environ 10 % de l'ensemble des mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res et des fournitures utilis\u00e9es dans le monde. Pour les constructeurs automobiles europ\u00e9ens, la part des mat\u00e9riaux recycl\u00e9s et r\u00e9utilis\u00e9s dans la production de v\u00e9hicules neufs est de 23 %, mais selon la derni\u00e8re \u00e9tude de Bain, elle pourrait plus que doubler d'ici 2040 pour atteindre 59 %. Cela permettrait \u00e0 lui seul de r\u00e9duire de 60 pour cent les \u00e9missions de CO2 li\u00e9es \u00e0 l'utilisation des mat\u00e9riaux. Dans le m\u00eame temps, il est possible d'augmenter le taux de recyclage d'une voiture de 80 % \u00e0 97 % - presque toutes les pi\u00e8ces d'un v\u00e9hicule seraient alors r\u00e9utilis\u00e9es.\r\n\r\n\"Pratiquement tous les constructeurs convertissent actuellement leur gamme de mod\u00e8les aux propulsions alternatives\", explique Bj\u00f6rn Noack, partenaire de Bain et co-auteur de l'\u00e9tude. \"Mais ils n'atteindront r\u00e9ellement l'objectif ambitieux de la neutralit\u00e9 climatique que s'ils cr\u00e9ent en m\u00eame temps des cycles de mat\u00e9riaux ferm\u00e9s\".\r\n

L'\u00e9conomie circulaire automobile offre \u00e9galement des avantages \u00e9conomiques<\/h3>\r\nL'\u00e9tude de Bain prend \u00e9galement en compte les \u00e9tapes de cr\u00e9ation de valeur en aval. Selon cette \u00e9tude, la part des pi\u00e8ces usag\u00e9es dans les r\u00e9parations en Europe pourrait atteindre 12 % d'ici 2040, contre 2 % seulement en 2020. Pour les batteries en particulier, le recyclage et la r\u00e9utilisation deviendront \u00e0 l'avenir la norme afin de satisfaire aux exigences r\u00e9glementaires strictes. Mais pour cela, un marketing professionnel est n\u00e9cessaire. \"Plus les constructeurs automobiles s'engagent dans le concept de recyclage et plus ils s'adressent au public, plus il sera facile pour les entreprises de service de convaincre leur client\u00e8le d'utiliser des pi\u00e8ces de rechange d'occasion\", constate Klaus Stricker, partenaire de Bain et responsable du groupe de pratique mondial Automobile et mobilit\u00e9.\r\n\r\nPour les constructeurs automobiles du monde entier, le passage \u00e0 une \u00e9conomie circulaire pr\u00e9sente plusieurs avantages. \"Les circuits ferm\u00e9s ne r\u00e9duisent pas seulement l'impact environnemental, mais augmentent \u00e9galement la r\u00e9silience des cha\u00eenes d'approvisionnement et r\u00e9duisent les co\u00fbts des mat\u00e9riaux \u00e0 plus long terme\", explique Stricker. \"Cela se traduit par des marges plus \u00e9lev\u00e9es, et de nouvelles opportunit\u00e9s de revenus s'offrent en outre\".\r\n

Le mode de d\u00e9placement change radicalement<\/h3>\r\nEn outre, un changement de comportement d'utilisation jouera un r\u00f4le important sur le chemin vers la neutralit\u00e9 climatique. Selon l'\u00e9tude de Bain, l'utilisation de robotaxis sera probablement de plus en plus rentable dans les ann\u00e9es 2030. Par cons\u00e9quent, la part des v\u00e9hicules priv\u00e9s dans le nombre de kilom\u00e8tres parcourus dans le monde passera de 67 % aujourd'hui \u00e0 environ 50 % en 2030. En 2050, elle ne devrait m\u00eame plus \u00eatre que de 40 %. Le taux d'utilisation global de tous les v\u00e9hicules augmenterait ainsi consid\u00e9rablement, tandis que le besoin en nouveaux v\u00e9hicules diminuerait.\r\n\r\n\"La mobilit\u00e9 reste une partie essentielle de notre vie\", assure Noack, partenaire de Bain. \"Mais la mani\u00e8re dont nous nous d\u00e9pla\u00e7ons va fondamentalement changer. Le changement climatique perceptible y contribue avant tout, l'urbanisation croissante et une conscience plus aigu\u00eb de l'environnement s'y ajoutent\". Et il ajoute : \"L'avenir appartient \u00e0 l'\u00e9conomie circulaire automobile. Plus t\u00f4t les constructeurs et les fournisseurs s'y pr\u00e9pareront, plus t\u00f4t ils pourront se d\u00e9marquer de leurs concurrents\".\r\n

La coop\u00e9ration intersectorielle est indispensable<\/h3>\r\nLes entreprises pionni\u00e8res se concentrent sur trois mesures. D'une part, elles examinent syst\u00e9matiquement l'ensemble de leur cha\u00eene de cr\u00e9ation de valeur afin de pouvoir exploiter de mani\u00e8re cons\u00e9quente les opportunit\u00e9s de circuits ferm\u00e9s. D'autre part, il s'agit de reconna\u00eetre les tendances \u00e0 temps et de poser d\u00e8s aujourd'hui les jalons pour les march\u00e9s de demain sur la base de sc\u00e9narios d'avenir. Enfin, ils s'engagent dans des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes et commencent \u00e0 mettre en place des circuits ferm\u00e9s en collaboration avec des partenaires. Dans le cadre de la Global Battery Alliance, par exemple, plus de 120 entreprises et institutions travaillent d\u00e9sormais \u00e0 l'\u00e9tablissement d'une cha\u00eene de cr\u00e9ation de valeur durable pour les batteries.\r\n\r\nLes coop\u00e9rations intersectorielles rev\u00eatent justement une grande importance. \"L'\u00e9conomie circulaire automobile pr\u00e9suppose que les constructeurs, les fournisseurs et les personnes ext\u00e9rieures au secteur collaborent largement et en toute confiance\", souligne l'expert du secteur Noack. \"Les constructeurs automobiles qui le reconnaissent sondent tr\u00e8s pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment les domaines dans lesquels leur position unique leur donne une longueur d'avance et o\u00f9 les coop\u00e9rations sont particuli\u00e8rement avantageuses pour eux.
