Les restrictions de vente ne servent pas \u00e0 grand-chose si les jeunes peuvent commander les produits sur Internet et que les autorit\u00e9s n'y mettent pas un terme.<\/p>\r\n<p>Selon l'OMS, on estime qu'environ 37 millions d'adolescents \u00e2g\u00e9s de 13 \u00e0 15 ans consomment d\u00e9j\u00e0 du tabac. Cela comprend les cigarettes, le tabac \u00e0 chiquer et \u00e0 priser. A cela s'ajouteraient des millions d'utilisateurs de cigarettes \u00e9lectroniques. Celles-ci ne contiennent certes pas de tabac, mais de la nicotine, et sont donc \u00e9galement addictives. Comme les e-cigarettes sont en partie ch\u00e8res, de nombreux jeunes passent aux produits du tabac quand ils n'ont plus d'argent. Dans la R\u00e9gion europ\u00e9enne de l'OMS, 20 % des jeunes \u00e2g\u00e9s de 13 \u00e0 15 ans ont d\u00e9clar\u00e9 avoir utilis\u00e9 des cigarettes \u00e9lectroniques au cours des 30 derniers jours.<\/p>\r\n<p>Parmi les 16'000 saveurs, il y aurait celles comme \"chewing-gum\" et \"bonbon\" qui visent clairement les enfants. \"L'histoire se r\u00e9p\u00e8te : l'industrie du tabac essaie de vendre \u00e0 nos enfants la m\u00eame nicotine dans un emballage diff\u00e9rent\", a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le chef de l'OMS Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.<\/p>\r\n<h3>L'OMS d\u00e9nonce la publicit\u00e9<\/h3>\r\n<p>Selon l'OMS, le fait que les fabricants de tabac promeuvent leurs cigarettes \u00e9lectroniques comme un produit permettant aux gens de se lib\u00e9rer du tabac n'est qu'un pr\u00e9texte. \"Comment peuvent-ils parler de r\u00e9duction des risques alors qu'ils font la promotion de ces produits dangereux qui cr\u00e9ent rapidement une d\u00e9pendance aupr\u00e8s des enfants ?\", a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Tedros.<\/p>\r\n<p>L'OMS d\u00e9nonce les publicit\u00e9s aux couleurs des enfants et celles qui mettent en sc\u00e8ne des personnages de bande dessin\u00e9e. Des influenceurs seraient en outre recrut\u00e9s pour vanter des produits dangereux \u00e0 leurs adeptes en les pr\u00e9sentant comme \"cool\", moyennant paiement. \"L'industrie veut rendre les enfants d\u00e9pendants le plus jeune possible afin qu'ils aient des consommateurs \u00e0 vie\", a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Given Kapolyo, qui organise des jeunes en Zambie pour sensibiliser les jeunes \u00e0 la consommation nocive de nicotine dans leurs propres groupes de jeunes.<\/p>\r\n<p>L'OMS exhorte les pays \u00e0 limiter davantage les possibilit\u00e9s de consommation de tabac et d'autres produits \u00e0 base de nicotine.
