(Image : Unsplash)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">Un groupe de chercheurs en agronomie, en \u00e9cologie et en \u00e9conomie de l'\u00c9cole polytechnique f\u00e9d\u00e9rale de Zurich (<a href=\"\/\/www.ethz.ch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EPF<\/a>) et d'autres universit\u00e9s s'est pench\u00e9 sur la rentabilit\u00e9 de la biodiversit\u00e9 dans les prairies, informe l'EPF dans une\u00a0<a href=\"\/\/ethz.ch\/content\/main\/de\/news-und-veranstaltungen\/eth-news\/news\/2020\/02\/biodiversitaet-macht-sich-bezahlt.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Communiqu\u00e9<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">\"La biodiversit\u00e9 est souvent consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme non rentable, mais nous montrons que si, elle peut \u00eatre rentable\", y est cit\u00e9e Nina Buchmann, professeur de sciences des prairies \u00e0 l'EPF.<\/p>\n<p><strong>La biodiversit\u00e9 est aussi une sorte d'assurance contre les risques<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">Concr\u00e8tement, les chercheurs, dont les travaux ont \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9s dans la revue scientifique Nature Communications\u00a0<a href=\"\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41467-020-14541-4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">publi\u00e9s sur<\/a>\u00a0Les recherches du groupe interdisciplinaire de scientifiques montrent que le rendement du foin d'une prairie contenant 16 esp\u00e8ces v\u00e9g\u00e9tales est plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 que celui du foin provenant d'une prairie ne contenant qu'une seule esp\u00e8ce v\u00e9g\u00e9tale. Cela permet \u00e9galement d'augmenter le revenu de l'industrie laiti\u00e8re, explique le communiqu\u00e9. \"Cette augmentation du chiffre d'affaires est comparable \u00e0 la diff\u00e9rence de rendement entre les prairies extensives et les prairies intensives\", explique Sergei Schaub, premier auteur de l'\u00e9tude et doctorant \u00e0 l'EPFZ.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">Dans leur communiqu\u00e9, les chercheurs soulignent en outre un autre avantage de la biodiversit\u00e9. \"La biodiversit\u00e9 est aussi une sorte d'assurance contre les risques\", estime Buchmann.
