L'initiative issue des rangs de l'UDC demande concr\u00e8tement une modification du r\u00e8glement communal : les autorit\u00e9s municipales doivent utiliser un langage clair, compr\u00e9hensible et lisible et renoncer \u00e0 l'utilisation de caract\u00e8res sp\u00e9ciaux \u00e0 l'int\u00e9rieur de certains mots.<\/p>\r\n

La ville de Zurich avait mis \u00e0 jour en 2022 son r\u00e8glement sur l'\u00e9galit\u00e9 linguistique, en vigueur depuis 1994. L'utilisation du \"Binnen-I\" dans le terme \"MitarbeiterInnen\", auparavant autoris\u00e9, a \u00e9t\u00e9 supprim\u00e9e. En revanche, il est d\u00e9sormais possible d'utiliser, si n\u00e9cessaire, soit \"Mitarbeitende\", soit \"Mitarbeiter*innen\".<\/p>\r\n

\"Qu'est-ce qu'un paysan ?\"<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Les textes avec l'\u00e9toile de genre sont difficilement compr\u00e9hensibles pour les personnes issues de l'immigration qui apprennent l'allemand comme langue \u00e9trang\u00e8re, critique maintenant le comit\u00e9 d'initiative. De plus, cette \u00e9toile cr\u00e9e \u00e9galement des formes erron\u00e9es, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Stefan Urech de l'UDC lors du d\u00e9bat au Conseil. Il a fait r\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00e0 des termes tels que \"paysans*\" et \"m\u00e9decins*\". Et il a demand\u00e9 : \"Qu'est-ce qu'un paysan ? Qu'est-ce qu'un m\u00e9decin ?\"<\/p>\r\n

Le PRD a \u00e9galement \u00e9mis des r\u00e9serves : Ce diktat linguistique conduit \u00e0 un langage incompr\u00e9hensible et peu clair et donc \u00e0 des malentendus, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Yasmine Bourgeois. De plus, un ast\u00e9risque ne rend pas le monde meilleur - ce qui compte, c'est l'attitude et les valeurs.<\/p>\r\n

Les radicaux ne se sont toutefois pas rang\u00e9s derri\u00e8re l'initiative \"Au revoir l'\u00e9toile du genre\" avec une conviction totale : \"Nous ne voulons ni une interdiction ni une contrainte\". Une proposition dans ce sens n'a cependant pas eu de chance au Conseil, raison pour laquelle le PRD a finalement soutenu l'initiative de l'UDC.<\/p>\r\n

A peine n\u00e9gatif<\/strong>R\u00e9actions actives<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n

Le conseil municipal de Zurich s'est clairement prononc\u00e9 contre l'initiative. Il a soulign\u00e9 les \"difficult\u00e9s d'application relatives lors de la mise en \u0153uvre\". En effet, selon lui, les caract\u00e8res sp\u00e9ciaux qui doivent \u00eatre interdits \u00e0 l'int\u00e9rieur d'un mot ne sont pas seulement l'\u00e9toile (de genre), mais aussi les traits d'union ou de s\u00e9paration ou les diacritiques comme \"\u00ef\", \"\u00e7\" ou \"\u017e\".<\/p>\r\n

Dans sa proposition, il ajoute que la population et les collaborateurs n'ont fait que peu de remarques n\u00e9gatives sur le r\u00e8glement r\u00e9vis\u00e9. Et il n'y a pas de cas connu o\u00f9 un texte n'aurait pas \u00e9t\u00e9 compris correctement \u00e0 cause d'un \"*\".<\/p>\r\n

En autorisant sciemment l'\u00e9toile de genre, l'administration montre \"qu'elle prend en compte et respecte les personnes non-binaires et trans\", a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Corine Mauch, maire socialiste de la ville. Le r\u00e8glement ne s'applique qu'\u00e0 la communication des autorit\u00e9s, a-t-elle ajout\u00e9. La population zurichoise, les entreprises ou la langue parl\u00e9e ne sont pas concern\u00e9es, a-t-elle ajout\u00e9.<\/p>\r\n

Souvenirs de \"Mademoiselle<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n

La majorit\u00e9 du conseil municipal \u00e9tait du m\u00eame avis que le conseil municipal. La langue doit inclure tout le monde, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Urs Riklin des Verts. Une langue qui inclut tout le monde ne fait de mal \u00e0 personne, a compl\u00e9t\u00e9 Anna-B\u00e9atrice Schmaltz, \u00e9galement des Verts.<\/p>\r\n

M\u00eame le PVL, avec sa \"vision progressiste de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9\", n'a pas compris qu'un combat culturel soit men\u00e9 autour de la petite \u00e9toile, comme l'a dit Ann-Catherine Nabholz. La langue \u00e9volue, le mot \"mademoiselle\" a pu \u00eatre surmont\u00e9 sans probl\u00e8me.<\/p>\r\n

Corine Mauch a \u00e9galement constat\u00e9 que \"les signes typographiques en faveur d'une langue trans-inclusive font partie du quotidien depuis longtemps\". Elle a cit\u00e9 les annonces d'emploi et la publicit\u00e9. \"La langue est quelque chose de vivant, elle \u00e9volue avec notre soci\u00e9t\u00e9\".<\/p>\r\n

Apr\u00e8s un d\u00e9bat d'environ une heure et demie, les groupes parlementaires du PLR, de l'UDC et du centre\/PEV se sont prononc\u00e9s en faveur de l'initiative lors du vote final.
