Les femmes travaillent majoritairement dans des professions de soins et d'\u00e9ducation, alors que les hommes sont principalement actifs dans des professions artisanales et techniques - cela n'a gu\u00e8re chang\u00e9 au cours des 23 derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es sur le march\u00e9 du travail suisse. En revanche, la r\u00e9partition des types de professions s'est modifi\u00e9e : Les professions \u00e0 orientation artisanale et technique repr\u00e9sentent certes toujours la plus grande part du march\u00e9 du travail, mais le nombre de professions de vente de pointe a fortement augment\u00e9 depuis deux d\u00e9cennies. C'est ce que montre une \u00e9tude des donn\u00e9es de l'enqu\u00eate suisse sur la population active portant sur plus d'un demi-million de personnes actives sur une p\u00e9riode de 23 ans. A l'aide de six types d'int\u00e9r\u00eats professionnels, des chercheurs autour d'Anja Ghetta et d'Andreas Hirschi de l'Institut de psychologie de l'Universit\u00e9 de Berne ont analys\u00e9 l'\u00e9volution du march\u00e9 du travail suisse de 1991 \u00e0 2014 d'un point de vue psychologique. Les r\u00e9sultats ont \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9s dans le \"Swiss Journal of Psychology\".<\/p>\n

Psychologie du march\u00e9 du travail suisse<\/h2>\n

L'int\u00e9r\u00eat personnel est l'un des facteurs les plus importants pour le choix d'une profession. Pour trouver une profession adapt\u00e9e, il est important, d'une part, de conna\u00eetre ses propres int\u00e9r\u00eats et, d'autre part, de savoir comment ces int\u00e9r\u00eats peuvent se concr\u00e9tiser sur le march\u00e9 du travail. Les march\u00e9s du travail sont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement d\u00e9crits en fonction des branches ou des secteurs \u00e9conomiques. Au sein de ces branches et secteurs, il existe toutefois des diff\u00e9rences importantes dans les int\u00e9r\u00eats qui peuvent \u00eatre r\u00e9alis\u00e9s dans certaines professions. Par exemple, les cuisiniers ont des int\u00e9r\u00eats professionnels tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rents de ceux des femmes travaillant dans l'h\u00f4tellerie, m\u00eame s'ils travaillent dans le m\u00eame secteur. Jusqu'\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent, on savait peu de choses sur la repr\u00e9sentation de certains types d'int\u00e9r\u00eats professionnels sur le march\u00e9 du travail suisse et sur la mani\u00e8re dont ils ont \u00e9volu\u00e9 au cours des derni\u00e8res d\u00e9cennies. Les professions de type \"artisanal et technique\" se caract\u00e9risent par le fait que les personnes qui y travaillent aiment manipuler des objets et des mat\u00e9riaux, utiliser des outils ou faire fonctionner des machines. Il s'agit de professions telles que technicien du son, agriculteur ou menuisier. Les r\u00e9sultats montrent qu'entre 1991 et 2014, le pourcentage de ces professions a diminu\u00e9 sur le march\u00e9 du travail suisse. Cependant, ce type a toujours repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 le domaine d'int\u00e9r\u00eat avec le plus grand nombre d'employ\u00e9s ; en 2014, 30% travaillaient dans une profession artisanale et technique. Les personnes exer\u00e7ant des professions de type \"enqu\u00eate-recherche\" aiment s'occuper d'id\u00e9es et souhaitent d\u00e9couvrir quelque chose de nouveau en utilisant des m\u00e9thodes scientifiques et un raisonnement logique. Des exemples de professions sont celles de scientifique, de d\u00e9tective ou de psychologue. Les professions de ce type ont connu une forte croissance en pourcentage au cours des derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, mais \u00e0 un faible niveau (9% en 2014). Dans les professions de type \"artistique-cr\u00e9atif\", les personnes s'int\u00e9ressent typiquement \u00e0 l'art, au langage et aux concepts abstraits et souhaitent cr\u00e9er ou fa\u00e7onner quelque chose de mani\u00e8re cr\u00e9ative. Les professions typiques sont celles de chanteur, de graphiste ou d'auteur. Ce type de profession est rest\u00e9 \u00e0 un niveau tr\u00e8s bas pendant les 23 ann\u00e9es analys\u00e9es ; en 2014, 3% travaillaient dans une profession artistique et cr\u00e9ative. Les personnes exer\u00e7ant une profession de type \"\u00e9ducation-soins\" aiment travailler avec des personnes qu'elles souhaitent soutenir, conseiller, soigner ou \u00e9duquer. Il s'agit de professions telles qu'enseignant, infirmier ou assistant social. Ce type de profession a connu une forte croissance au cours des derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es et repr\u00e9sente actuellement 16% du march\u00e9 du travail.<\/p>\n

Les possibilit\u00e9s d'emploi de demain<\/h2>\n

Le type de profession \"dirigeant-vendeur\" refl\u00e8te un int\u00e9r\u00eat pour les activit\u00e9s \u00e9conomiques et entrepreneuriales, comme c'est le cas par exemple pour des professions telles que publicitaire, entrepreneur ou vendeur. Ce domaine d'int\u00e9r\u00eat a connu la plus forte croissance de tous depuis 1991 et repr\u00e9sente en 2014, avec 25%, le deuxi\u00e8me domaine le plus important sur le march\u00e9 du travail suisse. Les professions de type \"ordre-administration\" sont par exemple archiviste, secr\u00e9taire ou juriste. Les personnes exer\u00e7ant ces professions s'int\u00e9ressent \u00e0 un travail consciencieux et structur\u00e9 avec des donn\u00e9es et des faits. En pourcentage, ce domaine professionnel a l\u00e9g\u00e8rement diminu\u00e9 au cours des 23 derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es pour atteindre 18% en 2014. Dans l'ensemble, il est apparu que le march\u00e9 du travail suisse offrait diff\u00e9rentes possibilit\u00e9s aux personnes ayant des int\u00e9r\u00eats diff\u00e9rents. Les personnes ayant des int\u00e9r\u00eats professionnels artisanaux et techniques continuent de trouver un vaste march\u00e9 du travail. Toutefois, la forte augmentation du nombre de professions du type \u00e9ducation-soins et direction-vente indique d'importantes possibilit\u00e9s d'emploi pour les personnes ayant de tels int\u00e9r\u00eats. \"Ces r\u00e9sultats peuvent jouer un r\u00f4le important dans le choix d'une profession et l'orientation professionnelle\", d\u00e9clare Andreas Hirschi.<\/p>\n

Des diff\u00e9rences stables entre les hommes et les femmes<\/h2>\n

Les femmes et les hommes travaillent diff\u00e9remment dans les diff\u00e9rents domaines d'int\u00e9r\u00eat et ces diff\u00e9rences sont rest\u00e9es \u00e9tonnamment stables au cours des 23 ann\u00e9es \u00e9tudi\u00e9es. Les hommes ont toujours \u00e9t\u00e9 majoritaires dans les professions artisanales et techniques, tandis que les femmes ont toujours \u00e9t\u00e9 majoritaires dans les professions d'\u00e9ducation et de soins. Le rapport entre les sexes est le plus \u00e9quilibr\u00e9 dans les professions de direction et de vente, dans lesquelles environ la moiti\u00e9 des employ\u00e9s sont des femmes depuis 1991. Compar\u00e9es aux hommes, les femmes sont moins concentr\u00e9es sur un seul domaine d'int\u00e9r\u00eat, mais exercent un \u00e9ventail plus large de professions - une femme sur quatre ou cinq travaille dans un m\u00e9tier d'\u00e9ducation et de soins, de vente, d'ordre et d'administration ou dans un m\u00e9tier artisanal et technique. Il est int\u00e9ressant de noter que, malgr\u00e9 l'\u00e9galit\u00e9 croissante dans la soci\u00e9t\u00e9, on n'a pas enregistr\u00e9 de grandes variations dans la proportion de femmes et d'hommes dans les six types de professions au cours des 23 derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es. \"Les r\u00e9sultats sugg\u00e8rent que l'exercice des professions en fonction des int\u00e9r\u00eats professionnels typiques des deux sexes est extr\u00eamement stable\", a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Anja Ghetta.<\/p>\n
