La FernUni Schweiz a profit\u00e9 de son assembl\u00e9e annuelle pour faire le point sur les \u00e9tapes franchies. Elle poursuit son d\u00e9veloppement strat\u00e9gique afin de devenir l'Universit\u00e9 du Valais d'ici 2027.<\/p>\n

Points forts 2024 de la FernUni Schweiz<\/h3>\n

2024 a \u00e9t\u00e9 une ann\u00e9e de d\u00e9veloppement consid\u00e9rable et de croissance strat\u00e9gique pour la FernUni Schweiz. L'institut universitaire compte pr\u00e8s de 2'400 \u00e9tudiants, un chiffre jamais atteint auparavant. Lors de la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie de remise des dipl\u00f4mes du 7 septembre, un nombre record de 403 dipl\u00f4mes a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9cern\u00e9. Dans le domaine de la recherche, le Fonds national suisse (FNS) a soutenu plusieurs projets pour un montant total de pr\u00e8s de 1'500'000 francs. Parmi eux, par exemple, le projet de Sabine Pitteloud, professeure d'histoire, qui porte sur le th\u00e8me \"Entreprises, associations \u00e9conomiques et gestion de l'environnement en Europe occidentale apr\u00e8s 1945\". L'engagement de la FernUni Schweiz en faveur d'un fonctionnement universitaire innovant, flexible et de haute qualit\u00e9 se traduit par une s\u00e9rie de projets qui ont marqu\u00e9 l'ann\u00e9e. \"Nous continuons \u00e0 nous d\u00e9velopper et \u00e0 intensifier notre r\u00e9seau avec les institutions et les organisations du paysage acad\u00e9mique national et international. Nous sommes ainsi pr\u00eats \u00e0 relever de nouveaux d\u00e9fis et \u00e0 continuer \u00e0 concr\u00e9tiser notre vision d'une universit\u00e9 moderne, excellente et interconnect\u00e9e\", explique le professeur Nicolas Rothen, recteur ad interim.<\/p>\n

Des membres de haut niveau renforcent le conseil de la fondation<\/h3>\n

Dans le cadre de l'assembl\u00e9e, trois personnalit\u00e9s ont \u00e9t\u00e9 officiellement nomm\u00e9es au Conseil de fondation, l'organe supr\u00eame de la FernUni Schweiz. La professeure Anne-Christine Fornage, sp\u00e9cialiste du droit priv\u00e9 et ancienne vice-rectrice de l'Universit\u00e9 de Lausanne, le professeur Kilian Stoffel, recteur de l'Universit\u00e9 de Neuch\u00e2tel, et Mathias Bellwald, maire de Brigue-Glis, apporteront leur expertise et leur connaissance du monde acad\u00e9mique et politique \u00e0 la strat\u00e9gie et \u00e0 la vision d'avenir de la FernUni Schweiz. Stefan Bumann, pr\u00e9sident du conseil de fondation, attend cette collaboration avec impatience. \"Nous sommes tr\u00e8s heureux d'accueillir ces nouveaux membres au sein de notre institution et de profiter de leur expertise en mati\u00e8re de gouvernance universitaire ainsi que de leurs r\u00e9seaux internationaux pour renforcer le d\u00e9veloppement de la future Universit\u00e9 du Valais\". Le Conseil de fondation a profit\u00e9 de l'occasion pour remercier ses anciens membres, Rachel Salzmann et Patrick Amoos, qui se sont retir\u00e9s du Conseil de fondation respectivement en juin 2024 et en mars 2025. \"Patrick Amoos, actif depuis 2009, est l'un de nos membres les plus anciens. Je salue son engagement de longue date et l'expertise qu'il a apport\u00e9e \u00e0 notre institut\", a soulign\u00e9 Stefan Bumann.<\/p>\n

Deux professeures renomm\u00e9es rejoignent le comit\u00e9 scientifique<\/h3>\n

\u00c9lus par le conseil de fondation en avril 2025, deux nouveaux membres ont rejoint le conseil scientifique, organe consultatif charg\u00e9 de toutes les questions relatives \u00e0 l'enseignement et \u00e0 la recherche acad\u00e9miques. L'institut b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie d\u00e8s \u00e0 pr\u00e9sent de la riche exp\u00e9rience et de l'expertise acad\u00e9mique de l'historienne Madeleine Herren-Oesch, professeure \u00e9m\u00e9rite d'histoire g\u00e9n\u00e9rale moderne et ancienne directrice de l'Institut europ\u00e9en de l'Universit\u00e9 de B\u00e2le, et de la professeure \u00e9m\u00e9rite Ruth Kellerhals, ancienne titulaire de la chaire de g\u00e9om\u00e9trie et d'alg\u00e8bre \u00e0 l'Universit\u00e9 de Fribourg.<\/p>\n
