L'autre jour, je suis tomb\u00e9 sur une \u00c9tude<\/a> d'Ethan Bernstein et Stephen Turban - deux universitaires de la Harvard Business School - qui ont conclu que la communication ouverte est moins fr\u00e9quente dans les bureaux paysagers que dans les structures \u00e0 petits bureaux (et qu'elle se fait davantage par e-mail). La raison semble claire : les gens ne veulent pas s'exposer aux autres en s'exprimant.<\/p>\n

Voici mon diagnostic : si vous remarquez ce sympt\u00f4me - \u00e0 savoir que les gens ont peur de s'ouvrir \u00e0 leurs coll\u00e8gues - nous avons un vrai probl\u00e8me avec votre culture. Et les bureaux paysagers le r\u00e9v\u00e8lent tout simplement (de la m\u00eame mani\u00e8re que la r\u00e9duction des stocks r\u00e9v\u00e8le des probl\u00e8mes dans la production).<\/p>\n

Au lieu de s'attaquer aux sympt\u00f4mes, nous devrions plut\u00f4t nous attaquer aux causes fondamentales. Voici les trois principales raisons pour lesquelles vos collaborateurs se cachent et ne communiquent pas ouvertement (quelle que soit la structure de bureau) :<\/p>\n

  1. Pas de confiance dans les autres.<\/strong> En tant que dirigeant, vous savez que lorsque les gens parlent dans le dos des autres ou pr\u00e9f\u00e8rent envoyer des e-mails plut\u00f4t que d'aborder ouvertement les probl\u00e8mes, nous n'avons pas un probl\u00e8me de communication, mais de confiance. Aucune \u00e9quipe ne peut \u00eatre performante sans confiance mutuelle. Travaillez sur ce point, de pr\u00e9f\u00e9rence avec un coach. La bonne nouvelle : la confiance peut \u00eatre \u00e9tablie de mani\u00e8re cibl\u00e9e.<\/li>\n
  2. Pas d'amusement.<\/strong> J'en ai fait moi-m\u00eame l'exp\u00e9rience pendant des ann\u00e9es (chez SAP, l'un des meilleurs employeurs d'Allemagne et de Suisse) : en s'amusant, on en fait deux fois plus dans le m\u00eame temps : m\u00eame si on perd parfois du temps \u00e0 faire des blagues et des folies, on est finalement beaucoup plus productif. Dans quelle mesure vos collaborateurs s'amusent-ils au travail ?<\/li>\n
  3. Pas de confiance en soi.<\/strong> Ceux qui se cachent dans la communication ont souvent une faible confiance en eux. Il est possible de travailler sur ce point. C'est aussi la responsabilit\u00e9 du dirigeant. D'ailleurs, le manque de confiance en soi est aussi une raison importante pour laquelle les vendeurs vendent moins. En augmentant la confiance en soi de l'\u00e9quipe de vente, vous pouvez augmenter assez directement le nombre de commandes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Une chose est s\u00fbre : travailler sur votre culture en vaut la peine. Les cons\u00e9quences en sont une productivit\u00e9 accrue, de meilleurs r\u00e9sultats et, ne l'oublions pas, plus de plaisir.<\/p>\n
