(Image : Fotolia.com)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>La reprise des entreprises par les jeunes g\u00e9n\u00e9rations modifie en outre les attentes envers les dirigeants. Ainsi, les millennials exigent avant tout de leurs chefs de la proximit\u00e9, des valeurs fortes et une pens\u00e9e visionnaire - et demandent un accompagnement et un encouragement personnels. Selon l'\u00e9tude, le foss\u00e9 entre les g\u00e9n\u00e9rations est plus grand que la diff\u00e9rence entre les sexes : \"Les femmes et les hommes de la jeune g\u00e9n\u00e9ration ont presque les m\u00eames exigences en ce qui concerne les qualit\u00e9s de direction de leurs sup\u00e9rieurs et la diversit\u00e9 dans leur entreprise\", explique Simone Stebler, conseill\u00e8re et responsable de la Diversity &amp; Inclusion Practice chez Egon Zehnder.<\/p>\n<h2>Les principaux r\u00e9sultats de l'\u00e9tude<\/h2>\n<p>Pr\u00e8s des deux tiers des \"millennials\" entr\u00e9s dans la vie professionnelle au tournant du mill\u00e9naire consid\u00e8rent la diversit\u00e9 comme la caract\u00e9ristique la plus importante de leur entreprise. Parmi les baby-boomers qui ont quitt\u00e9 la vie professionnelle, ce chiffre n'\u00e9tait que de 51 pour cent.<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Un lieu de travail diversifi\u00e9 est d'une importance capitale pour les jeunes g\u00e9n\u00e9rations : les Millennials (65 pour cent) et les membres de la \"Gen X\" (61 pour cent), n\u00e9s entre 1965 et 1980 environ, ont cit\u00e9 la diversit\u00e9 comme \u00e9tant particuli\u00e8rement importante. Chez les baby-boomers, ce chiffre \u00e9tait de 51 %. 62 pour cent des Millennials ont en outre indiqu\u00e9 qu'un environnement de travail diversifi\u00e9 \u00e9tait tr\u00e8s important pour le succ\u00e8s de leur organisation.<\/li>\n<li>Plus de la moiti\u00e9 des personnes interrog\u00e9es sont d'accord avec l'affirmation selon laquelle il existe une \u00e9galit\u00e9 des chances dans leur entreprise. Toutefois, seuls 57% des femmes de la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration X ont r\u00e9pondu par l'affirmative, contre 63% des femmes du mill\u00e9naire.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Attentes envers les cadres<\/h2>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Interrog\u00e9s sur la qualit\u00e9 la plus importante des leaders, les moins de 35 ans ont le plus souvent cit\u00e9 la \"proximit\u00e9\". Cette pr\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00e9tait encore plus marqu\u00e9e chez les jeunes hommes : 55 % des hommes du mill\u00e9naire \u00e9taient d'accord avec cette affirmation, contre seulement 32 % des hommes du baby-boom.<\/li>\n<li>Les baby-boomers appr\u00e9cient la r\u00e9sistance des leaders - 35% ont cit\u00e9 cette qualit\u00e9 comme \u00e9tant importante, contre seulement 21% des millennials.<\/li>\n<li>Les millennials sont \u00e9galement plus nombreux \u00e0 \u00eatre d'accord avec l'affirmation selon laquelle leurs dirigeants incarnent les qualit\u00e9s qu'ils recherchent (38 %). En revanche, les baby-boomers n'\u00e9taient que 22% \u00e0 le penser et les Gen Xers 26%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>D\u00e9veloppement de carri\u00e8re<\/h2>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Une large majorit\u00e9 de toutes les personnes interrog\u00e9es (86 pour cent) ont fait \u00e9tat de r\u00e9sistances dans leur parcours professionnel. Toutefois, un tiers des baby-boomers ont d\u00e9clar\u00e9 ne pas avoir rencontr\u00e9 d'obstacles dans leur \u00e9volution professionnelle.<\/li>\n<li>Interrog\u00e9s sur les facteurs qui limitent leur d\u00e9veloppement professionnel, les millennials sont plus de deux fois plus nombreux (35 %) que les baby-boomers (17 %) \u00e0 citer le manque de mentors et de parrains.<\/li>\n<li>Les souhaits de carri\u00e8re des femmes et des hommes se sont presque \u00e9galis\u00e9s : 27 pour cent des femmes et 31 pour cent des hommes ont d\u00e9clar\u00e9 vouloir atteindre le niveau de direction strat\u00e9gique de leur organisation. Mais pour les femmes, le chemin vers le sommet est incomparablement plus difficile : selon le Egon Zehnder Global Board Diversity Tracker de 2018, les femmes ne repr\u00e9sentent que 3,7 pour cent des CEO et 12,2 pour cent des CFO dans le monde.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Motivation<\/h2>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Les Millennials (86 pour cent) sont plut\u00f4t d'accord avec l'affirmation selon laquelle leur \u00e9quilibre entre vie professionnelle et vie priv\u00e9e est correct. Chez les Gen X, ce chiffre est de 80 pour cent et de 78 pour cent chez les baby-boomers.<\/li>\n<li>Les hommes et les femmes ont donn\u00e9 des r\u00e9ponses presque identiques \u00e0 la question de leurs priorit\u00e9s personnelles et professionnelles.
